TSR downloads28 Feb 2005 23:38 GMT7
Ok, I've downloaded a pile of stuff (mainly hairstyles and clothing -
but a few objects as well) from the sims resource, unzipped them into a
special Downloads folder in my Sims2 folder, and... they don't appear.
The only things which appear are house (and objects within them like ...

New town at Sims2 site28 Feb 2005 15:59 GMT6
Has anyone downloaded and played with the Ying-Yang Island from
Sims2.com yet?  I did and I have a question:  One of the families I
created on Ying-Yang Island has Lucy Hanby as the maid.  In my
Pleasantville, Lucy Hanby is married, has kids and a different
Is there a trick....28 Feb 2005 15:30 GMT16
....to uploading packaged lots to the Exchange?  I've tried with six
different lots and every time I get the "upload failed" error message.  Then
I tried uploading some at modthesims2 and couldn't get it to go there,
either.  I'm on broadband cable hookup and downloading isn't a ...
dark and gloomy rooms........?28 Feb 2005 11:24 GMT5
I was wondering about the rooms in Sims2...are they always so dark?  I have
put in windows and tons of lamps which helps a bit, but the rooms are way
too dark.  If I'm building a house, for example, I have to leave part of the
room "unclosed" so I can see what I am doing.  Is ...
TS2:  So ... how many of us are going to rush out 27 Feb 2005 22:19 GMT20
and buy the new expansion pack?  I'm thinking I'll wait and see how other
folks like it before bothering.  To be honest, I'm past the age to enjoy
collage pranks.  Toga parties really don't do much for me.

Ok something I've done or downloaded has stopped me from entering the
cheat enabler ctrl/shift/c. It does nothing anymore, won't even bring up
the white panel to enter my cheat code...so no more boolProp cheat or
money cheat or aging off cheat. It's killing me lol.

Private School?26 Feb 2005 23:52 GMT27
Any hints on how to get the kids into private school. I invite the
headmaster over show him the house, and feed him, and keep talking to him,
at the end he always says I don't think your child or children is eligible?

I am playing with the storytelling feature in the Sims 2. I am

S2: Setting the record straight26 Feb 2005 06:24 GMT6
Most recolored objects and new objects require the end-user to have the
colour options enabler installed, not SimPe.
SimPe is a program for the hackers and creators of such objects, but it is
not a requirement for the people downloading the objects or hacks.
