problem building huse30 Sep 2004 23:07 GMT2
The Sims 2 works great, everything is ok but.... when go to the button mode
for build wall, stairs... ect, seems that mouse clicking not work. Example,
click on button to build some walls, or raise the level of the ground and
nothing happens. Click on a door to try to take it out ...
CD Emulation software and Sims 230 Sep 2004 22:20 GMT12
Just installed Sims 2 and keep getting the error message saying that CD/DVD
Emulation software has been found and has to be disabled.  I have Easy CD
Creator 5 on my system and have disabled Direct CD via Task Manager, I
cannot find any other elements of this software running on my ...
BTW, is your mouse hand tired?30 Sep 2004 22:18 GMT15
How do you keep from letting this game give you carpal tunnel syndrome?
Me, I switch mouse hands (right to left, and later, back again) plus my
primary pointer is a MOST EXCELLENT Evoluent "vertical mouse".
I don't work for the company, I don't own stock in the company, I just
Sims2: How to make woohoo or is it woohoo? 30 Sep 2004 22:04 GMT16
What am I missing here?
I've got two characters wanting to make whoopee.  How do I oblige them?
I've clicked through all the interaction menus (at least I think I did) and
can't find what I need.
Sims 2 Aging30 Sep 2004 19:21 GMT3
I discovered by turning off the aging that if you have a baby, it stays
a baby even if you have
another baby. LOL WOW!! 2 babies, 1 toddler, and 1 child, can it get any
worse?? ROTFL
Build issue30 Sep 2004 18:26 GMT5
Hey everyone,
I'm having the same problem over and over whenever I build my own house in
TS2.  For some reason, adding windows doesn't help brighten up the house.
No matter how many windows I place, the rooms just stay pitch dark.  I'm
Lost Characters30 Sep 2004 18:00 GMT5
While playing with the chemistry set recently I switched to
neighborhood view with save.  Something went wrong because the game
started updating as if I'd just installed Studio town.  When it
finished, all of my characters were gone!
Sleepover?30 Sep 2004 17:25 GMT1
You know in TS2, one teen sim (I almost called it a Tim then), can ask
another teen sim to sleep over, where do they sleep?
The askee was repugnant on getting into the double bed with the asker,
and the askee wouldn't sleep on any of the 4 or 5 beds I bought and
Playing without the CD30 Sep 2004 16:39 GMT26
Ok forgive me if this has already been posted.
I put in my Sims 2 CD to play. After it got started, I simply took the
CD out of the drive, and
the game loaded up and I played for hours. Why are we all looking for a
Is this any way to publish a computer application?30 Sep 2004 14:54 GMT23
Like (too) many folk here I'm struggling to get The Sims2
working on a PC.
I'm a victim of the "This program has crashed.  The
application will now close" message.
Teenager at work30 Sep 2004 14:32 GMT3
I've learned a lot of things from this group since TS2 came out.I don't
remember if somebody said something about this before( i've read so many
things here in two weeks) but teenagers can have a job.Dirk Dreamer comes
home from school at 1 and goes to work from 3 to 6 for 65 ...
Keeping Sims characters straight30 Sep 2004 14:31 GMT3
I just thought I'd share this tip; it might seem very obvious to some
but I've found it helpful.
Eventually you start to find it hard to keep straight who's related to
who in the game as your families proliferate and start inter-marrying.
Sims 2: Funny30 Sep 2004 13:44 GMT5
Ya know what else kids do in the shower? And presumably the pool and
bathtub too... they pee... watch their bladder when they're near water
LOL
[Sims2] Performance problems? Try running it in a window!30 Sep 2004 11:13 GMT13
Although Maxis hasn't deigned to tell us anything about the possible
command line parameters, I found that putting "-w" on the command line
will run the game in a window. For me, it runs about ten times faster!
Meanwhile, "-nosound" also works, though I don't much want it.
These damned kids!30 Sep 2004 09:27 GMT7
They don't study.  Their grades slip lower and lower.  They whine
whenever you try to make them do schoolwork and all their fulfillments
bars aren't green.  They have the attention span of gnats.  And as for
getting a parent to help them, try getting a time when both the parent
