I tried s_khz 44, but that made no difference....

Yes as subject says q3 freezes when pb is enabled. I upgraded system and now
have an 8800gtx and now i cant play ra3 because of this :( Ive manually
updated pb too

I understand that Quake3 has problems recognising the 2 buttons on the side
of the 5 button mouse (I'm using MS Optical Intellimouse).  I'm sure I have
read somewhere that in order to solve this problem, a can (outside of Q3)
assign a button to a specific key, and then bind that ...

Do you still have great memories of QUAKE Deathmatch and Threewave CTF in
1996-1997 ?
It really change my life....What a wonderful memories because Quake is the
first internet game and meet new friends...

I have a server running CPMA, and it renames the bots... this guy was on
there last night and was sure he was playing a person. <G> Maybe the 'dubes'
had something to do with it?

I used to play Q1 CTF a long time ago, and just brought a copy of Q3 (yet to
play).
I was wondering if anyone could bring me up to speed on playing CTF with Q3.
I tried googling it but can't find the straight out answers I need.
