Recently got quake3 working on my linux box. The free opensource version.
I got OpenQuartz, and quake2 up, so I thought I might give it a go.
From the demo screens, it looks spectacular! But are there any SP levels I
can download and play? I don't have broadband, so if there aren't ...

/cg_zoom fov command won't work30 Oct 2004 15:05 GMT3
Using Q3 with point release 1.32 on WinXP home, SP1.  I can change the
regular fov, but when I try to change zoom fov, I get "/cg_zoom command
unknown or not recognized."  I have tried this with punkbuster enabled
and disabled, no change.  I'm just trying to change it to 30, I'm

humm, lastnight on my own server, my clan m8s and i were playing with the
arena locked, some a.s named yo logged on, and started telling us what a
bunch of losers we were for locking the arena, then he called a vote and
kicked us all at once,

I have read a few posts here and tried my best to find answer to what
my problem is but cant find anything that helps.

Graphics Problem In Quake 315 Oct 2004 22:19 GMT2
I'm noticing in Quake 3 that some of the graphics aren't showing up
properly.  Instead I'm getting a grid like area (it looks kind of like
the background for the holodeck area in Star Trek when the holodeck is
turned off). Also, some of the jump pads and portals are grey and

Hi kids,
I've seen a number of folks on posts complain about Windows XP munging up
their Q3A playing, and must admit that most of the posts I caught via Google
were either the complaint or someone telling them to search Google for it;
