I would like to download patch 31 or 32 for my old Quake 3 arena but even
though I registered with Gamespot, it won't let me download any of the
patches for Quake 3 and just runds me in a loop.  Where can I go to get free
downloads of the Quake 3 patches?

be better off unzipping them into their component folders instead of letting
Quake 3 unpack them on the fly?  If so, can I unzip these PAK files into the

download speed is terribly slow (like 2 KB/s) -- even when the server is on
my LAN and no one is connected through internet. It's radically faster to
exit Q3A, copy the map file from the server to the computer ...

You've got a 9200 now, right?  Hows it running?  One of my guys just got
one and I'm trying to help him get it performing its best.  He had to
get a PCI card so that's a little funky.
