Hi all. I noticed some people in the game have their names in color. How do
they do that? I was told it's done in the setup where you type your name but
I can't find any option. I imaging you have to put in some type of code
where you type the name but I have no clue what that would ...

Anyone try this yet? its a game mode in max payne 2 that unlocks when you
finish. I want to compare my times with other people....

I downloaded the latest Nvidia drivers tonight and afterwards had my
q3 freeze all the time. i reinstalled my previous drivers and i am now
unable to connect to the server. i tried a few other servers to see,
and same thing. i join and get disconnected a few seconds later. i

Running q3, latest point release - 1.32?
on a dual cpu tyan 2460, win2k system - fresh install.
Also have a sb audigy 2 with a ti4200
It doesnt happen every time but I do get lockups and looping

Or whatever that message says. I never paid any attention to the posts on
this because I never had the problem. Now I find that some clients are
getting that message when trying to connect to my server and can't connect.
What was this all about again?

I can't get above 35 fps in RA3 even though I have max_fps set to 85. This
same setting gets me 90 fps in a DM server. I can't for the life of me
figure out how to bump up the FPS cap. I have plenty of computer power so I
assume it is something with RA3 only.

ok, i typed r_fullscreen 0 for windowed and r_fullscreen 1 for full screen,
but when i went to windowed mode i could nolonger see my weapons or
crosshairs, then when i went back to fullscreen i still couldn't see either.
also when some people say they're playing in windowed mode and ...

Anyone know why, if I have +exec myconfig.cfg in a shortcut link Q3 reports
it cant exec the file. I have the config file in the baseq3 directory. This
is most perplexing.

can anyone tell me how to come and go from windowed to full screen mode in
q1 and q3, through the consol ?

i've some problems.
in lan the game is not smooth as i remember.....
i have xp and i've noticed that when i create a game i can only si UDP
and no more IPx

I wonder if anyone might know what cause big green spikes (triangular
in shape) in the net graph. Sometimes they go right to the top of the
graph with some yellow mixed in occasionally.  It actually gives me a
connection interupt for several seconds at a time and my ping goes

        A strange problem has started with my Q3 on any map startup.
The game starts ok, I get a short white screen pause then map starts. Now
this is where the prob. comes in. The game stutters when walking around.
This happens randomly and only for about 30-40 sec at start of map ...
