Deer Hunter 2005 Demo22 Sep 2004 09:48 GMT2
This is a damn-good demo if you've ever wanted to do some serious
virtual-hunting in OFP.
Very realistic landscapes and one of the coolest things, you get to ride a
horse!
FDF is brilliant20 Sep 2004 17:47 GMT1
I've been playing around with the new FDF version.  Man, that mod is
brilliant, isn't it?
They've added some nice touches over the last version.  I was noticing the
sound tonight.  They've changed and upgraded several sounds and did a
How to modify existing SP missions?18 Sep 2004 06:36 GMT2
Dear Group,
Can anyone suggest an available mission editor type of tool to easily modify
existing SP missions?
I would like to be able to change weapons options (because of all the
Anyone want a Gmail account15 Sep 2004 09:20 GMT7
I only have a few, and will give out to some select persons on this
list, if interested.  I don't know what the craze is with people on
Ebay, but, whatever.  I have them for free.

Do you think more RAM would help?13 Sep 2004 09:57 GMT20
OK, here's a question for those of you in the know.  Do you think if I
increased my RAM from 512 MB to a Gig that I'd see a big performance boost
in the Y2K3 mod and OFP in general?
I see tigerdirect's got SIMMs for about $60 each.  I'm thinking of plunking
I think I'm taking the 5900 back....10 Sep 2004 00:04 GMT1
Just saw all the hoopla over the new GeForce 6600 GT.
The AGP version probably won't be out until mid to late October, but the
pre-buzz is looking great!
I've got another week I can return my 5900.  I think I'm going to do that.

Frame Rate09 Sep 2004 14:36 GMT1
Lots of config questions recently...
I set my Frame Rate within the game as low as possible a couple of years ago
and never changed it.  I've forgotten why I did this, but I think I read
somewhere that doing that in OFP was a good move.
Are you having lag problems with the Y2K3 mod?08 Sep 2004 22:26 GMT5
I've been speaking with TooTall about his work on the mod, and he's coming
from the point of view that the mod isn't that laggy for most people.
I'm running a mediocre system, with 512 RAM, 128 MB GeForce FX 5900, 1.8Ghz,
and I know, as is, that I'm not going to be using the mod ...
Very enjoyable mission08 Sep 2004 16:32 GMT9
I've been playing with my new goodies, and I played a very neat (albeit old)
mission.  Enjoyed the hell out of it.
It's called Baghlan Foxes, by DevilChaser.
It's 2001, not too long after 9/11.  You're the Lt of a US Green Beret team
I'm getting my mouse pointer in the game!07 Sep 2004 10:26 GMT18
I took some poster's advice here and went out and bought a GeForce FX 5900
XT.  Can you hear my Flashpoint program murmuring "Thank you...thank
you...thank you..".  I did some research, and for the buck, the 5900 packs a
pretty good bang.
Quick fix for Y2K3 mod...06 Sep 2004 02:48 GMT1
OK, here's a quickie fix I just discovered for all you Y2K3 users out there.
I just played this fix on two missions (Combined Arms and Return to Eden,
both from the original CWC campaign), and it was smooth as a baby's behind.
Well, not that smooth--but light years from where it was ...
