How many classes can a pc have, including prestige classes? Three max or three
base classes and x prestige?

just reached Mutamin's challenge (the 3 level dungeon crawling contest).
Will it matter at all whether I rush through it or take my time (can any of
the other contestants finish before me if I'm too slow) ?

After playing the NWN OC and a few user modules, I figured I
should figure out how the various combat numbers work.  Most of
it I've been able to piece together with newsgroup archives, but there
are a couple of things that I haven't seen explained anywhere.

I've tried using the Bard merc in a couple of different situations--original
SP module, BTW--and her survivability skills are questionable at best.  Is
there a situation where someone's found her useful, or is she best left to
cool her heels in the tavern?

Thought I'd build an arcane archer character and can't really decide
on the best way to do it.  Originally, I thought I'd start with a
ranger, but you need to be able to cast arcane spells in order to do
that.  Having a level of wizard not only causes experience problems

I've changed my monitor for a few days and then changed back. Now NWN will
only run in 60Hz instead of 100Hz as it used to. 100Hz is no problem in
Windows. The resolution is 1024x768 in both NWN and Windows, and the same
monitor has worked fine with no problems at all before.

Can a Ranger with some levels of Bard become an Arcane Archer? (Bards
can cast level 1 arcane spells) Or do I need to have some levels of
wizard/sorcerer

I'm trying to decide which class to play in NWN after doing a wizard and a
fighter.  Both just plowed right through it, in most cases.
I'm considering a rogue, just for the challenge, and to see what having all
those skills would be like.

I'm getting on with my replaying of the OC, but now i have run into a
problem with Jenton (sp?), the guy whos asked me for the head of the
troll-chieftain in the caves on top of teh creator ruins. I have solved
