Following my glorious second ascension (see Flange Val-Dwa-Fem-Law
post), I'm seeking advice on the Tourist class.  They have a
reputation as being [one of] the hardest class[es], so any help would
be appreciated.

Just hit a bones file in Slash'EM of a character with the same name
(and class and race) as the fallen hero.  When over the tombstone I
auto-pickedup-thrown a certain heavy stone that was thrown from the
deadman's hand.

I seem to be in a situation where I do not make any progress anymore.
Situation:
I am standing next to a double troubled Wizard of Yendor
He has stolen the amulet

       At one point,  when very near death, I had  nothing left to do
except try  out an (as yet  unidentified) platinum wand.   So I zapped
the monsters  and they dissapeared.   A "The monsters  were destroyed"
message didn't appear  for any of them, they  just vanished.  The wand

Here are a few commands I would like to "improve" in the game. I
wonder if there is any way to change the defaults to improve usability
and simplify the game interface.
Coloured Hit Points and Hunger:

       I'm surrounded by creatures who don't respect Elbereth.  I
have 3 HP left and a wand of digging.  If i dig by zapping in the >
direction, will the monsters have a chance to hit me?

Hi, Im currently playing more ADOM then Nethack, but that is mostly
because I could never get off to a very good start in Nethack. Are
there any good sites I should read. Also any strategy suggestions? I
have played as far as the town after the gnomish mines, but no farther
