Does HL2 really take up 4.5 gigs of hard drive?  That can't be right.  I
don't have that much room.  I already have steam will that matter?

When playing HL2 (collector's edition), the game plays fine for 10 - 15
minutes, then hangs and quits to windows, then shows some kind of memory
related error. All my other games including Need For Speed Underground 2
play fine, with no such problems.

I downloaded the 760MB HL2 demo from ati.com.  When downloaded and
installed, I tried to access the point "play HL2 demo" from the Steam
menu.  However, all I get this error message:
 "This game is currently unavailable.  Please try again at a later
