Half Life 2 crashes:
1) repeatedly at startup, before the main menu appears,
2) when loading a saved game.
3) when loading the next area in the game
Finally finished a great game.. 30 Nov 2004 23:20 GMT7
The detractors of this game are full of sh.t!!!!! This has been an an
excellent single player experience.... Loved the ending.... We should

no clip30 Nov 2004 22:47 GMT2
What is no clip? Is it a different term for Godmode?
How is it activated?
Reloading weapons observations30 Nov 2004 21:48 GMT7

It kicks a.s but...30 Nov 2004 20:50 GMT18

Read this about new stutter fix patch!30 Nov 2004 20:49 GMT15
The only thing the patch did is this:
mat_forcetextureintohardware "1"
Just change it back to "0" in your autoexec.cfg if you want to go back to

Half Life 2 - Video stress test - good frame rate? or not30 Nov 2004 20:41 GMT23
Did you take the video stree test in Half Life 2? It reminded me of a

of 57.86.
Is that average I don't know?
Cleaning up your system prior to a HL2 session30 Nov 2004 20:06 GMT2
Dunno if this will help improve anyone's in-game performance, but it
seems to work for me so here we go:

No-clip30 Nov 2004 19:55 GMT5
With no-clip I can take an up-close and personal look of Alyx's sweet
a.s. Just like I did in the Tomb Raider games when you position things
at the right angle.
Who says not having a girlfriend is a bad thing!!
HL2 : stuttering fix is out.30 Nov 2004 19:48 GMT71
Well, the whingers will be put out , but Valve have released a fix for
the stuttering fix as well as other suggestions for trouble free

Look Ma No Hands30 Nov 2004 18:07 GMT13
The only time I can see hands is when wielding a weapon. Is his normal in
this game. Is here a way to show hands on the steering wheel or when lifting
a crate for example?
Steam is stupid30 Nov 2004 18:03 GMT1
I bought the retail version of HL2 and registered it and everything,
which I imagine would be the equivalent of the "Bronze version" of the
game.
But when it comes to the purchase options on Steam it says I have to
