when I launch HalfLife 2, the loading screen appears, and after a while
(about 30 sec), my computer reboots from Bios.
My graphic card is : Hercules 3D Prophet III (latest drivers).
How do I solve that ?

This must be a lame question, but any tips on how to tweak the awful sound
problem away. I've got 2 Gb of Ram, a 2.4 Ghz CPU and an ok, not great
graphics card (all in a laptop).

Been playing the game, it's great, but it has one HUGE FLAW. So big I

I'm so tired of trying to survive the required time till help arrives.  How
did you do it....did you back into a cell and block off the opening with
barrels.  Constantly standing up guns gets me killed, and they come from too
many directions.

Is there any way to set up a controller, such as a Logitech Wingman
Rumblepad?  The only thing I seem to be able to do with it is look around
while on the hovercraft, using the left analog stick.  The Controls/Keyboard
mappings will not accept any inputs when I try to input ...

How can I be sure that Steam has updated the game correctly ? or How can I retreive the relase number of Half-life 2 I'm playing
with (it was simply written of the main menu with Half-life (1), but nothing for HL2).

Jeez.  Its been 3 weeks since I bought the game and up until now, everytime
I tried to run the single player mode, it kept telling me "This game is
unavailable.  Please try again later".  So earlier, I finally got fed up and
decided to uninstall everything, and then after the ...

I have an Audigy 2 ZS which I upgraded to from onboard realtek sound
after having installed Half Life 2. I played the game with 2 speaker
settings and headphones and changed to 5.1 speakers but kept headphones
on through to the end and it was fine.

So what do people think of Half-Life 2 then?
I enjoyed it .. and I'm getting excited about what mods are coming out
for it.
