I have played the game Half-life2 and is now stuck in the beginning of
the game. I have reached the plaza from where you can enter precinct
6,13 and 15. The problem being that I cannot enter either one of the
precincts. There is a barrier that stops me from entering.

Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse...
Steam is down so I can't play the game.
Well that sucks. You buy a game and can't even play it. Well done Valve
and Steam - that's one customer you have lost.

You know it's a terrible game, so quit wasting your time and move on to
something else.

Anyone get this to work with an NForce mobo (Realtek audio)?  I get sound
only from the center speaker, but all else works fine.

have a friend that has onboard soundmax audio , disabled HL2 runs fine
...enabled , it won't load.
I am still trying to get specific rev. numbers from him ....does anybody
know of an updated driver or a workaround?

If I buy on original half life 2 already activated on steam,
can I reactivate it on my pc with a different steam account ?
or not ?

Can I play hl2 without connecting to steam?

People have been having texture loading problems which cause sound
stuttering and fps problems. Steam is not downloading the patch, and doesn't
f.cking work half the time anyway. That patch evidently causes problems for
people that do not have the stuttering problem in the first ...

I keep getting this warning while playing online then the game crashes!  I
have re-installed the game with no luck!  Can anyone help?

I got HL 2, registered, gave them my password etc, put in the cd key
numbers and played the game. Turned off machine. Then came back a few
hours later, went online and the steam window reads "operation cannot

Hello. I posted earlier cos I couldn't get Steam to install. Finally managed
it by installing on a another PC, and then copying the installation over
(took all afternoon!). This time my PC connected first time.
Half life 2 updated, but only shows 99%, and refuses to budge, so I ...

I had gotten through several levels of HL2 when I had  a complete system
crash and had to reinstall the operating system in my computer. Because of
this I lost my saved files and had to start the game over. Not wanting to
take the time to play the game at the normal pace because ...

I had to wipe my pc and rebuild. I saved my HL2 games by backing up
the "save" directory. I put the files back after a reinstall and now
when I play my saved games the guys don't move! It is nice to have an
easy target but c'mon, not too fun.
