Try to run HF2 on a ati x800xt GPU on my PT-AE700 lcd projector in 1280*720
60 hz but it will not run in that resolution. I only get 720 * 480 why is
that?

I bought Half Life 2 to play as a stand alone game and have no intention of
playing online.
I wasn't impressed about having to install Steam and creating an online
account but went along with it.

hey my computer crashed half way through and i hat to reinstall os and
lost my saved games, i dont want to play the game over again. is there
a way to jump  to the chapter i was playing? thanks

I finished HL2 and I had posted that I was a little disappointed with the
end, and I found the puzzles and problem solving too
easy.........well............I am 4 levels into Doom3 - AND I AM SO BORED!!!
No storyline, repetitive tasks, just shoot the things trying to kill you -

I tried to start up HL2 through steam, of course, in offline mode.
It said that offline mode could not be started when steam was offline.
Just thought that'd be nice to pass on.

Suddenly nobody is firing any more...........
I changed the setting to hard but stil nothing......

Can I play the Half Life 2 demo? I have played and beat the Full version
of Half Life 2 and was interested in seeing what was in the demo.

I'm trying to keep my nearly-silent system, well, nearly-silent.  I'm
looking to upgrade my GeForce 440 with a faster card that can play
Half-life and Doom3 well, but looking for something quiet, preferably
without a fan.

I installed Half Life 2 a couple of weks ago, and for the past few days,
instead of the normal systray Steam icon, I've got a different one which,
when I hover the mouse over it, says 'Steam - updating - 32% complete', but
is otherwise totally unresponsive. Sometimes it's been 30%, ...

Barnie has opened the closet with the suit but how do I put it on? Man, I
know I'm thick but geez!

I have been trying to play HL2 for 2 days, but haven't been able to get
steam to "preload".  Does anyone have any suggestions?  I am trying to
figure out why I need steam anyway, I thought the purpose of having 5
installation disks was to load the game on my computer.  Regardless, ...

there are three bunkers with turret guns blazing away but i cannot find a
way off the beach.  some hidden path?  i passed a small debris-filled
