Secrets of Old Everquest30 Jul 2006 22:36 GMT19
Since Sony has made a lot of changes to EQ over the years, I think it would
be very cool if they were to reveal the answers to some of the mysteries
regarding how the game used to work, in the old days.  In particular, I'd
love to see offical answers to the following questions:
Everquest UI27 Jul 2006 21:50 GMT7
For purely personal reasons, I didn't like *some* of the features of
the new UI Sony have given us (If you like it, that's great though,
heh). I like the old-style 2 X 5 Hotbutton bars, rather than the
horizontal ones, and I like the old spell icons, but actually like the
Macroquest27 Jul 2006 14:48 GMT3
Anyone have any experience with this program?  I was wondering if it would
allow a hands free cleric-bot to do his business.  I don't want to cheat or
hack the game, just have someone hit CHeal every 10 seconds or so without
resorting to tape on my keyboard.
Keyed zones26 Jul 2006 22:28 GMT26
When did keys and flags appear?  The old world EQ zones had keys within the
zone that you had to get to go deeper in (like Befallen and Najena.)  As far
as I can tell, Veshans Peak is the first instance where there was an effort
made to prevent players from gaining access to ...
Return to Everquest? whats it like nowadays26 Jul 2006 22:25 GMT4
When I got hooked up with the internet in '97 my big thing was Quake2.
Man those were the days....Weapons Factory, Lokis Minions Capture the
Flag. No game since has captured the smooth run and gun style of the
Quake2 shootouts.
ZEM of Jaggedpine26 Jul 2006 14:49 GMT3
There's a raging debate at the moment on the busiest of the chat
channels on the Combine server (erroneously misnamed Bazaar, although it
honestly houses less commerce than practically any other channel, in
terms of signal to noise) about where the best exp is to be had in the

Last night, we put together a force to go after Emperor Crush. The team

Sony Announces The Serpent's Spine Expansion for EverQuest25 Jul 2006 22:27 GMT6
Sony Online Entertainment LLC (SOE), announced EverQuest The Serpent's
Spine, a new expansion for the Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing
Game (MMORPG), EverQuest. EverQuest The Serpent's Spine will only be

Ready for the Combine server25 Jul 2006 18:52 GMT7
I had really planned on jumping in when the Combine server opened up. I
was in on the beta, but I really didn't care much for the idea of putting
any sort of (untwinked) time into a character I knew would be wiped soon.
Therefore, that officially removed me from the sort of ...

Sony Forums23 Jul 2006 18:08 GMT3
Personally I don't understand why Sony won't let others post on their
forums who aren't currently subscribed.  I can only assume for damage
control.
This does nothing except fill their forums with ass-kissers, and the
The'old man' needs help!!22 Jul 2006 21:32 GMT5
Hello To All....Here,s my story. My son recently was given a 2nd account by a
friend.Apparently the "novelty" has worn off! Before he left(son) for a
extended summer job in the "Rockies" he proposed that the "old man" take the
account under his wing and"level" a character.Upon his ...
necro dot's and fear22 Jul 2006 08:13 GMT3
I recall hearing that if a mob is feared, dot's have a lesser effect.
I'm wondering if A) this is true and B) if it effects regular damage
or just crit damage?
I can aggro kite a mob all day long but much prefer to
Those Kodak Moments21 Jul 2006 02:37 GMT8
So, there I am, hunting wisps in WC, and I spot one. I run up within a
few feet, start to cast... and, in the true style of brainless pricks
that have to play "I got it first," some guy who wasn't even around,
suddenly runs up and whacks it while my cast is running up. I step
Completed FOUR Ldons last night... 20 Jul 2006 14:39 GMT41
One mob mission, One mob count, Two collection.
Won all four. No deaths. No problems.
Group changed slightly with each mission... all were impressed with how
smoothly it went and we all added each other to friends list.
