I am new to Oblivion. Need some guidance on walk-through.
I finished the first quest. For the second quest, I went to the city
of Kwatch to get the illegitimate son of the King. It appears that the

My mage-swordsman is now at level 10, almost 11, and has shown no
interest whatsoever in the main quest. He also spent the last few levels
in the Balmora Mage's Guild, doing semi-autistic things (levelling up).

We decided to spend the day resting in Maar Gan.  I paid one of the
locals to train Julan some in long blade, and I paid Bednor Rialthi
(at the smiths) to train me more in fletching.  He also trains people

Just curious about the special abilities of these two races. Obviously I
want to play a mage, so I know these are my choices. Dark elves don't
seem quite as good for it.
Anyway, I was wondering what exactly their abilities mean, specifically:

With Agarmir dead and my having his key, I had thought that his house
would be up for grabs.  But, when I go in there and try to rest, it
says I'm trespassing.  It can't be still his; he's dead.  And he
doesn't have a family; the place is only laid out for one.  I think

"Shivering Isles" and "Knights of the Nine".
But what about the other "official plugins"?

I'm running Oblivion with OOO v1.3, DEJ Harvest and Living Economy
v3.51, and both Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine.

Does anyone know where I can download the Oblivion manual and any
other documentation that came with the game?  I received a used DVD of
the game (PC version), but no paper docs came with it, and I can't
find any e-docs on the disc.  Thanks.

I'm level 29...and I still don't have a clue how to snatch souls when you
slay enemies.  It would be a nice trick to do too, since 'charging' one's
enchanted weapons seems all the difference between abject failure and
success on these quests.  Varla stones I've found are more ...

In reguard to Oblivion:
This question may seem silly, but I kind of like the brilliant lights
from torches inside caves.
Where do you find all the torches?
