I have an Nforce 2 controller and in the Device Manager when I set the
drives to anything other than PIO mode BFV asks me to insert the CD even
though its already in. In PIO mode it runs fine. Its the only game doing
this. The BIOS reads the drives as UDMA33 and every other program ...

anyone know where i can download any blood patch for BF?

I just added a joystick to my setup (Logitec Freedom 2.4 Cordless) and
I'm doing pretty good with fixed-wing flying, but I have terrible
problems with heilcopters.  As soon as I get off the ground they start
to roll over and I can't seem to do anything to correct it--or sometimes

ok, so i too am getting my pc locked up, due, i think to punkbuster.
started on or about the 6th of june,  i'd like to play some of those private
servers, but i don't know how to find them, and join them, any advice?  i
prefer desert combat, or dcx,   is there a way to fix the punk ...

It just plain fuckin sucks...  Everything about it.  Ive not enjoyed a

US always has numerous choppers and the VC get one fn 88 and half the
players..  Dice sucks donkey dick!

Are they working on a fix for the 56k kick and spawn bug?  Weird, its been 5
days broke and no roll back or patch.  What exactly was the patch suppose to
fix anyway, besides keeping us modem losers out of the games?

I have just encountered this PB issue. I dont think it has anything to
do with Administrator account on XP as User account has some
permissions. I have uninstalled everything and reinstalled 1942 with a
new cd KEY, got given a new version for present. Problem still

Recently a friend of mine asked some help in setting up a Battlefield
Vietnam server on his PC to play with friends on the net.
The first thing we noticed while reading documentation is the big
amount of bandwith required to run a medium server (32 players max): 1

OK, gotta admit this has me stumped.
About a week ago I started to see periodic floppy disk seeks during
on-line play. Not bad in itself but the floppies, being the slow
critters that they are, cause a few seconds of "freezing". Not good.

Stop playing on PB enabled servers.  I gave up on PB and had a riot last
night playing on a clan server with NO lag, mini-freezes etc.  Just like all
the servers were before PB.  Sure - I may have been subjected to a hacker
now and then, but the game play was better overall.

i received a message that said "error" at the top,
then "banned from server" ,- why happen?, this is a new one for me.

Is there any way of getting bots for the new maps such as Coral Sea,
Philippines and Caen?
