| BFV issues - get real. | 06 Apr 2004 09:52 GMT | 21 |
Obviously there are a few bugs, but nothing to actually stop you playing the game. I've played BF:V a few times online now, and quite a lot SP, and if you are happy to turn down the graphics/sound detail a little bit, it runs fine.

| BFV: Poor sound quality | 06 Apr 2004 06:06 GMT | 2 |
I've got my copy of BFV for a few days now. The game is running fine, but only the sound quality is horrible. Gunshots and explosions sounds like the fart of a midget. Strange enough, the sound of the voices over the radio, music in cars and the engines are ok.

| BFV not so lush and green | 06 Apr 2004 02:23 GMT | 19 |
I decided to check out how trees and grass affect hiding in BFV. After doing some research, I found that the BFV graphics engine only renders low grass and bushes near the player. Try this. Get a kit with either a pair of binoculars or a sniper rifle. Pick out a hill about 100m away ...

| Booby traps / mortars... | 05 Apr 2004 11:16 GMT | 15 |
Has anyone used booby traps or mortars to any real effectiveness? Seems like every game I play, I end up playing NVA to help balance the teams ('cause everyone joins the US... I need to play on autobalance servers!). But no one really uses the booby traps, and calling for a target ...

| BFV "server connection problems" | 05 Apr 2004 03:50 GMT | 3 |
I am kicked by EVERY server I play on eventually. Sometimes I can last 10 or 15 minutes, other times it's more like a minute. My drivers are updated, my virus/firewall proggies are turned off, the graphics are all slammed to minimum even though I have a Radeon 9800, my ping is ...

| BF1918 | 04 Apr 2004 17:00 GMT | 9 |
This is one hell of a good mod. THe maps are lovely, the weapons are good, ( the rifles could use a spot of work), and the aeroplanes are dead on, do anything other then dive and you start losing speed, no parachutes either! dog fighting near the ground is quite hazardous....

| OT:Das Boot and German Navy | 04 Apr 2004 04:39 GMT | 21 |
Thanks for the recommendation of "Das Boot". I just watched it and agreed it was a remarkable movie. The knowledge was new to me that U boats were actually kinda pathetic because German's support to U-boats by surface ships and air cover was so thin. I read a long time ago that ...

| BFV Online Play Problem | 04 Apr 2004 02:34 GMT | 6 |
I purchased this game a week ago and attempted for the first time to play online last night. While trying to join the server I received an error message that states my CD Key is invalid. I tried once more and received the same message. Correct me if I am wrong, but if the ...

| Bad FPS on Low-End Cards in BFV? -- Disable TnL! | 03 Apr 2004 18:24 GMT | 1 |
BFV is an extremely demanding game, especially for systems with lower end video cards. Currently, I'm running a GF3 TI200 overclocked on my Barton 2500/NForce2 system. While my rig may be up-to-date, the card is showing it's age badly. It

| OT : PCI Latency | 03 Apr 2004 15:35 GMT | 2 |
Has anyone here ever adjusted PCI / AGP card latencies in an attempt to correct problems with BF or other games? I ran across an interesting little ditty about this : http://www.geocities.com/phileosophos/tech/pcilatency.html .

| Battlefield Vietnam................can you create your own songs to play? | 03 Apr 2004 15:26 GMT | 1 |
I love this game but am curious as to if you can convert a mp3 to a bic file or the format BFV knows. I see two folders named "music" in the BFV directory. What are these folders for? I would like to play some of my songs while in BFV-MP combat.
