Oh my...oh my...just received my new home office PC and immediately (of
course!) loaded BF and DC and I had no idea what I had been missing.
Went from a Dell XPS P3 1Gig, 256 ram, and an Nvidia Geforce 2 ultra 64 to a
new Dell XPS Gen 2 P4 3 Gig, 1 Gig ram, and an ATI 9800 Pro 128 ...

Ok, I'm still pretty new to all this, and there's a few things I
haven't found the answer to, so here goes.
1 - artillery - how DO I aim when i get targetting? Do I turn the
little vehicle icon towards the centre of the circle? What about

Because for some unknown reason I can't play multiplayer as I keep getting
disconnected when the loading up on the server, I really miss the Desert
Combat maps.
Is there some way to get DC maps to play in Single Player?

Thanks for some really great games tonight.  We were very light on the WF
side so we appreciate the reinforcements!!  We all really enjoyed it.  Will
have to do it again sometime - next time mid-day in North America so we can
get more peeps on from the East Pond.  Promise!

had fun with AGBers on the little uno server playing battlegroup ( same ip
as uno but for the port, change the last number from 7 to 8)
man i love those planes that can drop up to 5 bombs atonce....WEEEE!!

Recently I have been playing Wolfenstein Enemy Territory. Now I have
Battlefield 1942 too. So, any guides for switching? Any tips? Any
general BF1942 newbie guides I should know about?

I am new to this group, I take it from some of the posts I have read
that you have your own server? What do I need to do to meet the
qualifications or whatever to be able to play on your server? Let me

I had "BF:1942" installed on this machine before a format/reinstall OS and I
could connect to servers just fine.
Now, since completely reinstalling WinXP and the game, I can't connect to
ANY server. It takes minutes to load even halfway after making the initial
