New about patching31 Jan 2004 22:30 GMT2
Hi.  Thanks to those who helped me with my installation problem earlier.
Your tip helped a lot, wicb.  Now, I've installed BF and am ready to patch.
The question is, should I restart after every patch install or can I do it
all in one shot then restart?  Does it even matter?  Thanks ...
1.6 Patch screwed up my cut scenes/menu resolution31 Jan 2004 22:22 GMT4
For whatever reason, after installing 1.6 the initial logos and movie are
rendered larger than my monitor.  The menu is the same way.  I can only see
the top-left 3/4 of the screen.  The rest is there, but not visible (I can
move the mouse off screen and hear it click as it passes ...
Is v1.6 faster for you guys?31 Jan 2004 20:19 GMT2
Is it me or is the game actually faster and smoother with v1.6? I am
running an Athlon 2200+ with 1 GB of RAM, ATI Radeon 9800 Pro AIW, and
Windows XP. All updates too!
Kicking the high scorer31 Jan 2004 19:00 GMT3
It's only been the last couple of weeks that I've gotten good enough to ever
be the high scorer in a game. It's only happened a few times, but it seems
that some admins really do like to kick you for it. The first time was while
playing Market Garden on "EA-=NOD=-Clan ...
Can't Join Severs Since upgrading to 1.6?31 Jan 2004 18:35 GMT4
You need to go to the multiplayer screen (the in-game server browser screen)
and tag the box to enable punkbuster.
There are hundreds of people being kicked from servers because they haven't
done this.
My first games on AGB server31 Jan 2004 18:08 GMT1
Well, decided to journey across the pond and have a few rounds on the AGB DC
server this afternoon.  Was great fun, no smacktards... server didn't seem
very busy, and my scoreboard didn't work.. getting the fix for that now. But
I managed to place 2nd on Eastings... I'm pretty handy ...
Fix for DC Scoreboard with 1.631 Jan 2004 16:21 GMT8

Backup your old menu.rfa file before installing.
It works, and Punkbuster does not complain.

1.6 - DC - "Failed to connect to server"31 Jan 2004 14:53 GMT4
As per the title, I cannot connect to any DC servers since updating.
I don't remember this happening with any other updates - is anyone else
having the same problem (I know Mike posted about it yesterday).

How do you install Punkbuster from 1.6 patch if you choose not to initially?31 Jan 2004 10:27 GMT4
The silly 1.6 patch will NOT allow you to install Punkbuster (PB) at a
later time, ie after you've installed 1.6. When you run the patch, it
reaches the punkbuster install page and asks if you'd like to install
it now or later. I didn't know what PB was so I chose later. Big
