nice to have your heals and repairs counted, instead of just a "ty" and

I was looking at my ASE server window and it showed you with a ping of 18!
What's the deal, is the server in your back yard? lol. Wonder what a Neotrace
looks like from your end.  How many hops is it anyway?  ;)

I am having problems during game play similar to playing under a
strobe light. Have any of you had to wipe and re-install bf42 for this
reason.
Machine is Asus A7v8X-X AMD 2600+ slightly overclocked

Was hoping to meet you in an SW game but you were busy
on Duex so went back to same server we played on before
( #1 was full when checked but thats a good sign) and was
surprised to get in on Eagles Nest, the one with the tunnel.

Just played.  I got killed 5 times in a row on foot trying to defend a flag
before the tank (Wittman) decided to cap it.  This can't be good for stats
but has to be good for the game.  Should I just spawn somewhere else?  What
about the flag?

For capturing BF1942 movies I am experimenting with the hud off (hud 0 in
console) and that works pretty good for running around or driving. But my
mouse is inverted while flying!
When the hud is on the flying is ok (as good/bad as I can fly that is), but

I can't find them in ASE.  Or rather, they show up as "unscanned" with
a Ping of 9999 and ? for the map being played.  The IP address reads
as:
66.135.34.27:? even though I've put 14667 (and 14567) into the "New

A friend of mine wants to buy a PC from PC World (I know, I know), its an
XP2700 + with 512 Gb RAM and a Radeon 9200 128 Mb graphics card (think its
about ?1200!).
He is very keen to play Battlefield 1942 on it, its one of the main reasons

I was looking @ the Geforce 5200 128mb ddr agp 8x tv out, but my problem is
that I wanted to know if it will be good for gaming (for example: Half-life
1 & 2, Counter Strike, Unreal Tournament, etc.) Also what company should I
go with Inno3d, Abit, MSI, etc.

I have been checking out TS and although I don't have a microphone yet I
sometimes connect to listen in.
I have some questions that some of you might be able to answer.
1. When I connect a lot of the times you are all in the lobby.  Why is that?                      

Last night Sgt. Jackman and I had some great infantry teamwork on Iwo Jima.
I used a mounted machine gun to cover him rush to flag, and he dropped
depacks at spawn point for the last second resurrects. Throwing a grenade
into a bunker with "fire in hole" on TS, and then we rushed in ...

Does anyone know if Nero 6 Ultra Edition can
be used to make backup copies of BF1942?
I know it can be done with Alcohol 120%. Can
Nero burn using SafeDisk 2 like Alcohol?
