I uninstalled all of my BF1942 recently, and reinstalled the game, applied
the 1.5 full patch, and then the DC.5 full install. But now I wonder if I
should try to add my SW and RtR disks. What should be the order of
reinstalling BF1942?

    I must be missing something! I was able to make a working copy
of my BF 1942 CD, but it only works when Daemon Tools is active, even
though I have nothing in the virtual CD drive 'G'.
    How do I get the disk image to 'G'?

well, i have tried it myself, and this is how it goes:
in both DC and Vanilla, you can fly your plane/jet into the hanger, and, it
will take no damage from the walls.
you must make sure, though, that you dont hit the floor first.

Ever since the server went public, the extra influx of non-AGB players has
made it possible to play at pretty much anytime of the day.  I often play in
the afternoon/early evening (GMT), as do some of the other EU players, but I
have noticed a severe lack of admins at these times.  ...
