Battlefield used as a training simulator?03 Oct 2003 04:24 GMT11
I was flipping around last night and I forget the name of the show, but it
was on the History Channel.  They we're talking about innovations in
military technology that's funneled over to the civilian life.  They started
in on tanks, and then talked about tank treads, and how ...
What is a good joystick for this game?03 Oct 2003 03:02 GMT12
I have an old MS Sidewinder 3D Pro which doesn't seem to work well with BF
so I'm looking for a new one.  I guess a digital one would work better.
Would anyone recommend the  Logitech Wingman Extreme Digital 3D joystick?
If not, what is something better?
[AGB] West Team - Practice!!!!!!02 Oct 2003 22:08 GMT12
Tonight or tomorrow night?  I can get on after 8:00 MST.  Maybe have 2
practice sessions with C&E going first, P&M going second.  We can break the
squad into 2 groups of 12.  If we have many showing up, I'll set Deux to be
a Vanilla Server and One to be a DC server.

I object to you treating me like an inferior.

Where will it go from here ?02 Oct 2003 11:38 GMT3
Can Dice and EA squeeze any more cash from us with yet more lacklustre
expansion packs ? Lets face it a lot of the free download mods are miles
better than either the RTR or SW xpacks.
Same could be said for HL as well. Did anyone rate Op-For above CS, TFC or
Error connecting to server02 Oct 2003 09:53 GMT1
Any ideas on why I get this message when trying to connect to an online
server? Any help would be appreciated!
OT: Power supply help02 Oct 2003 05:09 GMT13
I may have my power supply going (for 2nd time in 3 years).  First time was
under warranty.  This time it'll be on me.
I have a Compaq P1.7 in what I would call a standard size case.  It's
currently 250W but I want to bump it up to 300-400W.
Need 2-3 people to make a movie!02 Oct 2003 04:39 GMT12
I need 2-3 people who are capable of every aspect of the game called
Battlefield 1942, and, maybe fly in Desert Combat as well!

I have to admit it was I who took out the three planes on the runway
on my way through the camp.  No one was around and I figured it was

THIS POS won't work.  No matter what I do... reinstall BF AND the patch AND
FH and it's maps.... it STILL craps out about 1/3 the way during a game
start.
What a POS!!!!!

Ideal installation order?01 Oct 2003 20:52 GMT7
Is there anything like an ideal installation order for BF1942 and the
patches and add-ons and mods?
I have to re-install windows anyway, so I have to re-install BF1942...
I own vanilla, RTR and SW, and I'd like to run the following mods:
[AGB] Fact #7101 Oct 2003 19:24 GMT1
As we all know, most Battlefield 1942 players have graduated high school. Of
the reasoning non-graduates... 3 Percent hold hi-tetchy positions. Of the
remaining 97 % the averages are gratuitously broken down here in a simple
form that most of the [AGB] can understand.
The Movie Crew!01 Oct 2003 18:41 GMT2
I saw there was a lot of people who wanted to participate in making some
Battlefield 1942 films.
So, I have created a forum on the AGB webpage dedicated to making movies!
I havent seen anyone join up for the crew exept for good ol' Villy Vonka!
