[AGB] Radius22 Sep 2003 14:31 GMT23
Hehehe...
My wife had her first game of BF1942 online tonight. We only have one CD Key
between the two of us, so we can't both be online at the same time, but we
have been playing LAN for a while now.
Appropriate TK'ing?22 Sep 2003 14:02 GMT52
I was playing on a public server this morning, DC Weapons Bunkers and
one of the guys on my (allied) team kept setting detpacks on the
bridges, detonating them whenever an enemy was near, and sometimes even
with a humvee full of players crossing, tk'ing them all... he had a
[AGB] Other tags we use22 Sep 2003 13:36 GMT18
After seeing a couple of threads alluding to it, I had an incident that made me wonder who else uses
different aliases for different servers.  This came about because I was on a secret weapons server
the other night, map was battle of britain.  I spawned at the airfield and grabbed ...
Servers with DC 0.422 Sep 2003 13:07 GMT2
Hi guys...
I joined AGB a long time ago, but have never had the pleasure to play with
you guys. I really like the spirit in this clan. And even though I never
played with you guys, I use the [AGB] tag in my nick, and try to always play
One small questions about base camping.22 Sep 2003 11:15 GMT32
If I am a sniper and call for artillery is that base camping
if I am looking at the base?  Just a question as I like to
play sniper also.
Calling for artillery is like base camping or is it?
Files22 Sep 2003 10:26 GMT2
I've set up an FTP server for us at agbf.dyndns.org, for all those who
might not want to go hunting for BF/DC files on the net, as a kind of
"local mirror"... but please try to get the larger files elsewhere.
Access is ftp://agb:agbdoesit@agbf.dyndns.org, and this server is
"Greatest Military Clashes" on the Discovery Channel22 Sep 2003 07:50 GMT2
The Discovery Channel is running a new series called "Greatest Military
Clashes". Might be of interest to some of you.
I just watched the episode about the Cold War, interesting stuff about the
AK47 vs the M16. Next is the one for WWI, then WWII.
Darn that Rambo Joe22 Sep 2003 07:49 GMT19
So I was playing on the Coral Sea (I think--anyhow, the map where the
Allies have to spawn on a carrier and attack the island).  I can't fly
for beans, so I didn't bother trying.  I just spent most of that game
manning the AA guns.
English people22 Sep 2003 04:23 GMT10
I don't know how many of you in England and have recently purchaced BF1942
but I talked my mate into buying it, but he/we can't find it. We have looked
in Game, Virgin, EB, HMV, MVC and GameStation. All of them have about 10
copies of RTR & SW, but no original copies of BF1942 :(
Sercret weapons CD swapping22 Sep 2003 02:52 GMT6
Aloha,
About a week ago we finally got the "Secret Weapons" expansion pack and
I discovered, as others have written , that I need to swap the 'original'
BF42 with the expansion pack cd when I'm loading, and when I'm at the
Increasing ticket counter22 Sep 2003 02:23 GMT2
I know someone just asked this, but how can you set the ticket count higher
in single-player game?
Battlefield1942...Audio sounds like Alvin and the Chipmunks!!!! 22 Sep 2003 01:59 GMT1
When I play Battlefield 1942 on my Inspirion 1500 everything runs great
except the audio is all speed up.  I swear it sounds like Alvin and the
chipmunks are speaking!!!!
I have loaded the latest sound drivers and I have also turned down ( and
Sound probs on Soundblaster in DC22 Sep 2003 01:50 GMT1
Got a Soundblaster Live.  Latest drivers.  Whenever I get into a jet on DC
mod I can hardly hear the engine noise, whether or not I have
internal/external view on. All I get is crackles and pops. I never play
vanilla now. Performace is affected too much when I dont use hardware ...
Hostile Engineer Bots??22 Sep 2003 01:30 GMT17
Ever since updating to DC .4j and BF 1.45, whenever I'm playing in coop
mode, engineers "repair" my vehicle by dropping mines on me.  After they've
dropped their mines, they render even more aid by shotgunning me!  And while
this is going on, any other engineers in the area will ...
Detpackmania!: 3 more avi's21 Sep 2003 22:13 GMT10
Should work with WMP or DivX player.  I'm keeping the file sizes down (<1mb)
cos I only have isdn.  Uploading is not a problem though and if most of you
have adsl then I'll probably upload some larger file size/longer vids for
your enjoyment :)
