In Communications on Nightmare difficulty and noticed a strange "problem"
with the flashlight. Its as though the end of the beam is missing with the
effect that nothing gets illuminated. You can see what I mean from the 2
pics in the link. Is this normal on nightmare? If I reload ...

I'm trying to get the old Doom to work on my new machine, which is a Windows
XP box. If it matters, I have an Sound Blaster Live Value card. I use the
setup program to set the audio options to use a "Sound Blaster". WHen I play

Doom3 just installed for me fine. Ran the game, no problems. Exit and put
my RoE disk in, installer comes up, I click on INSTALL... and it quickly
returns the message "Doom3: Resurrection of Evil requires that your computer
is running Windows 2000 or Windows XP" with an 'OK' ...

I used to build levels for doom (actually for BOOM) using Doom Contruction
Kit (V2.2-f). When I switched to W98 from W95 I had to add Cwspdmi.exe to
the DCK directory. After recovering from a couple of crashes including the
mother board, I haven't been able to get DCK to run. ...

Just rented the DVD. I have to say it was better than I expected,
given that they removed Hell from the equation. I also think they
included some important little details that made it seem familiar to
the players.
