best part of doom 3 so far30 Nov 2004 02:25 GMT30
Delta beginning when you have to turn on the power and you wander

spooky and I kept waiting for something to jump out at me, but nothing
Doom3:  CDoom looks promising!29 Nov 2004 22:20 GMT2
CDoom, the porting of Doom1/2 levels to Doom3

is looking very decent!
I played through the alpha level (which I guess is the only one finished)
WHOOPS!29 Nov 2004 22:16 GMT5
I finished it.  After saying a couple of days ago how I was enjoying my
nonchalant pace through the game, I plowed through the post hell levels
pretty fast.
Doom 3 was great, period.

Doom 3 Final Boss29 Nov 2004 19:18 GMT2
Is it just me or was the boss in Hell much harder than the final boss?
The final boss seemed easier was because there was more space to run around
and thus dodge the bug guy...
Plus, the stage with the final boss seemed much brighter.

Hi all, interesting group - lots of contradictory opinions which always makes for good reading!
Just got doom 3, love it, but it scares the s*** out of me frequently...
I've got an X800-XT card, and the game plays great, but how do you know the FPS as you play the game? My system ...
Finished!28 Nov 2004 16:33 GMT63
Well, thanks to the help of good folk twice along the way, I've finally done
it and completed it.
I just wanted to say that this is by FAR the coolest game I have ever
played - I dont understand all the whining that goes on in here, the game
I am happy I played Doom3...28 Nov 2004 01:42 GMT2
... at least before I played HL2.
I liked Doom3 but I LOVE HL2. Basically HL2 wins in almost every department
compared to Doom3. Id had better come up with something good next time...

Upgrade Help Please28 Nov 2004 00:12 GMT5
I just installed Doom 3 and found it to be a bit choppy.  I knew that I was
at the bottom of the requirements scale and was planning to upgrade.
Current System:
AMD Athlon 1600+
Recommended GFX Cards27 Nov 2004 23:50 GMT12
I am looking at getting a new graphics card for Doom 3. I have been told
that it is the chipset that is important not the amount of Ram on the card.
I was looking at the Radeon 9800 Pro with 128MB Ram. I don't want to spend a
fortune, but I want to have a reasonable quality game ...

"missing media pack27 Nov 2004 01:48 GMT15
Hello folks, I keep getting a message"missing media pack" when I try to play
online. I know Everquest, but I know nothing about doom3. I had to go round

nothing in it. Lol
