Is there a way to configure old DOOM games for a Dell XP system running Soundmax Digital Audio.  I get the music but not the sounds.  It really bogs down when there is a lot of sound.

Some years ago I had a wad file I downloaded and I wish to download it
again. But..... I have forgotten the name :-(        Maybe someone will
recognise it from my description.
The player start is in a wide canyon which is split down the middle by a

Doomloader (which is something like a lame Doomer) is available
in tgz and deb files (Linux/unix and Debian).
It's a lame perl script launched by the shell script you want.
For example, if you want to commit suicide, you just type

I can't finish this level. I got the blue and yellow keys and cleared those
areas. I found the secret transport pad. I donot see a red key door. I must
be missing something though.
