Civ4 $ Screen Saver27 Feb 2008 10:12 GMT1
Been meaning to ask this question ever since I bought Civ4
When ever I am playing the screen saver doesn't come on and I am
wondering if this is normal
Not that its a big deal if I am leaving it for a while I just click on
Vanilla Civ4 smartmap monarch, now 1850 a.d.24 Feb 2008 03:04 GMT9
Lots of trees, light jungle, lots of hills, no peaks.
Extra grass for the cottagers.  Fifty percent ocean.
Only victory conditions enabled are conquest and cultural.
Elizabeth, Napolean and Roosevelt are the only leaders on
Civ IV Question: How many hours (days?) do the "pros" take to play a     game, roughly speaking?22 Feb 2008 16:21 GMT5
Just wondering as I am not a hard core but rather a casual Civ IV
player.  I always feel like I am rushing through the game, but it is
after all a complicated game.  But, leaving aside the fact that many
of you know the game inside out, about how long should a game at my
difference between warlords/beyond the sword?15 Feb 2008 18:28 GMT6
does Beyond the Sword contain every new feature that Warlords has or would
it be worthwhile to play each expansion separately?
Civ4 : Cottages15 Feb 2008 17:01 GMT18
Until now, I used to build them on plains squares away from rivers, on
the basis that they are crap for food, so might as well be good for
something. Unfortunately, that often results in them not being worked.
Until several days ago, I didn't even realise that unworked cottages

Cha-CHING!13 Feb 2008 12:05 GMT3
Did I just make a dumb deal?
Does this mean I've given away the store in
some fashion when an AI leader has this
response to a trade we've made?
Raging Barbarians12 Feb 2008 17:57 GMT2
Does anyone even play Civ4 with this on?
As long as you can build the Great Wall you're OK, as you can then get
lots of cannon-fodder for promotions - but if you miss out, you're
totally screwed! :)
Civ3 AI problems - were any of these patched?08 Feb 2008 19:00 GMT6
Playing some Civ3 last night, I made note of some of the AI problems
that especially bug me - not new stuff, I just never bothered to write
them down before.
What I'm wondering is, since some of these are obvious bugs and not
BTS07 Feb 2008 06:20 GMT3
I have been playing BTS for a couple of weeks now.  I find it much more
difficult than Warlords and my usual level (Prince) is now impossible for me
due to the extreme agressiveness of the AI Civs.
To get around this and to try out the corporations I have tried a couple of
compare Civ4 to Civ3?06 Feb 2008 03:30 GMT14
I never bought Civ4, as I've been happy enough playing Civ3 Conquests
and I had heard that Civ4 has higher graphics requirements and also
requires XP. I was recently told that Civ4 is vastly improved over
Civ3, but have not yet heard back on my request for further details
