| Vanilla Civ4 smartmap monarch, now 1850 a.d. | 24 Feb 2008 03:04 GMT | 9 |
Lots of trees, light jungle, lots of hills, no peaks. Extra grass for the cottagers. Fifty percent ocean. Only victory conditions enabled are conquest and cultural. Elizabeth, Napolean and Roosevelt are the only leaders on

| Civ IV Question: How many hours (days?) do the "pros" take to play a game, roughly speaking? | 22 Feb 2008 16:21 GMT | 5 |
Just wondering as I am not a hard core but rather a casual Civ IV player. I always feel like I am rushing through the game, but it is after all a complicated game. But, leaving aside the fact that many of you know the game inside out, about how long should a game at my

| Civ4 : Cottages | 15 Feb 2008 17:01 GMT | 18 |
Until now, I used to build them on plains squares away from rivers, on the basis that they are crap for food, so might as well be good for something. Unfortunately, that often results in them not being worked. Until several days ago, I didn't even realise that unworked cottages

Playing some Civ3 last night, I made note of some of the AI problems that especially bug me - not new stuff, I just never bothered to write them down before. What I'm wondering is, since some of these are obvious bugs and not

| BTS | 07 Feb 2008 06:20 GMT | 3 |
I have been playing BTS for a couple of weeks now. I find it much more difficult than Warlords and my usual level (Prince) is now impossible for me due to the extreme agressiveness of the AI Civs. To get around this and to try out the corporations I have tried a couple of

| compare Civ4 to Civ3? | 06 Feb 2008 03:30 GMT | 14 |
I never bought Civ4, as I've been happy enough playing Civ3 Conquests and I had heard that Civ4 has higher graphics requirements and also requires XP. I was recently told that Civ4 is vastly improved over Civ3, but have not yet heard back on my request for further details
