I finally installed the patches that were done by Vladesch (108, 109,
110 and 111 ) which fixed a lot of bugs in the game.
Thank you Vladesch for all the work you did.
There still seems to be one major bug unless I have got something set

Play Civ IV by PBEM and can't seem to keep the resources highlighted between
turns...just resets
every time.

While reading this morning's paper I noticed the Microsoft will be
putting out their first 'sp' for Vista this spring. How many, if any,
are currently experiencing problems with Vista and Civ4?

At the start, what do you usually build first?
I normally wait until my first city gets to about size 3 before building
workers or settlers, since doing so stops them growing for the duration
of the build.

Not long got this extension to Civ 4.  When playing and click on the Show
Tiles icon or use Cntrl +T music and background sound continues, but,
screen goes black, no image, then get error that "Civ 4 has encountered an
error and must close".  This happened once yesterday then ...
