Have been playing around with saves before attacks and find that at some
points in the game even the upper 90's chance of winning an attack loose.
Seem's that once you're at this point, the best thing to do is sacrifice
something (or end turn).

Open border and missionairies, or
lots of soldiers?

I got gold and marble on my starting position.
...but everything else was a sheet of ice.
That's not so good.

OK.  I havent posted here before so bear with me.  I just downloaded
the Civ 3 v1.29f patch and the game no longer opens.  whenever i go to
play the game, a screen comes up asking for me to insert the CD.  I go
to insert my CD but it isnt recognized.  Can someone help me out with
