I suck at Civilization 4 and need help...22 Mar 2006 02:58 GMT5
Hey all... it was only recently that I got Civilization 4 to work on my PC.
Well I suppose it would have worked a long time ago, but I was in the
process of Half-Life 2 after getting a new graphics card. Apparently the new
graphics card fixed all my problems, cuz now even ...

Can anyone help me?
I've been playing Civ 3 for a few weeks. My civs never get
their special units. I play as the Greeks - no hoplites. I
play as the Romans - no legionnaries. Even though I have the
What makes Civ 4 bettter than 308 Mar 2006 21:01 GMT37
Are civ 4's graphics that much better to justify the 40 or 50 buck if
you already have civ 3. Is civ 4 just for people who are sick of civ 3
or are they pretty much the same game? Whats better about civ 4?
workers and civ 408 Mar 2006 03:21 GMT4
i'm guessing they put this right, cos its the most annoying part of civ:
will civ 4 allow you to team up workers? i have dozens of captured workers,
and its really slow dragging them one by one around the map. even if it was
just groups of say 4 workers, like with armies, it would ...

I found myself on a penisula boxed in by india so clearly I had to go
to war early just to get out of the box. India was destroyed, the
continent was mine. Then Egypt and Rome decided they wanted to build on
a continent I had fought a bloody war for. So naturally they were

Just finished a game. I won a major war where I wiped france from the
face of the earth. The only problem is that I became so powerful that
my victory was assured. I spent at least three hundred years watching
my workers move around waiting for something to happen. I got a short
CIV4: Proxy Wars and other stuff03 Mar 2006 20:34 GMT6
I just finished a game during which I supported an ally, including
gifting units.  I was involved in another war at the time, and also
didn't want to gain so much territory as to force a domination win.
But I didn't want my ally to lose, making another competitor so

Advice - Lost CIV4 Disk101 Mar 2006 07:26 GMT21
I did the unthinkable - i took the CIV4 disk out of its drive, only
long enough to install TurboTax, and have misplaced, lost or
accidentally thrown away Disk1.
I had done the online registration some time back (near the beginning
Losing with peace and prosperity and good relations?01 Mar 2006 03:37 GMT13
I just lost a game where I was an island nation. When I saw I was on an
island I told myself I wasnt going to go off of my island and start any
wars. That I was was going to give my people peace and prosperity. Two
countries built cities on my island and I immediately expelled them ...
