Direct to drive Civ430 Nov 2005 17:27 GMT1
Has aby one used the direct to drive version.  I intalled it and I'm
getting tons of XML errors. And all my buttons are labeled with TXT_KEY
or something to that nature.
Still strange.30 Nov 2005 07:00 GMT1
CIV 4 is running and it is fun.
Hurray !!
The one thing that I still don't understand is why military units can cross
my borders.
Civ 4 is a Memory HOG!30 Nov 2005 04:19 GMT88
I have been monitoring my Task Manager while playing Civ 4 for the
past couple of days. I started this after noticing an ENORMOUS amount
of primary drive accessing when doing the SIMPLEST of tasks in the
game. Like moving a unit from one location to another using the "Go
Civ 4 MP settings29 Nov 2005 23:45 GMT1
how can I change the difficulty settings for the AI?
there's a setting I think called simultaneous turns, I found this to be a
pain in the butt when at war with someone, if I uncheck it do I have to sit
around and do nothing while the other human players play?
[Civ4] Does it work for you?29 Nov 2005 23:18 GMT50
SOOOOOO many people are complaining that the game is buggy and rubbish....
So...How many people HERE have the game running? I know Civfanatics has
1000s that are playing it perfectly.....
What a piece of junk part II29 Nov 2005 22:05 GMT47
OK, you whimpy consumers. :)
95% of Civ 4 customers don't have problems with Civ ?
Not bloody likely!
All you have to do is read this news group to appreciate the hassles

Civ 4 Demo29 Nov 2005 00:39 GMT2
After reading about all the problems people have had I thought Id download
the new demo and have a quick go....hmm three hours later (demo finished!)
and Im well impressed. The only bugs I noticed were the wonder movies
'chopping' quite badly...everything else seemed fine ...
Civ4 questions28 Nov 2005 21:45 GMT12
If for example you capture the Buddhist holy city late in the game, but
there are no Buddhist monasteries and they are now obsolete (and
therefore unbuildable), is there any way to spread this new religion
among your cities?  By this point I'm usually "Free Religion" but the
Different rally point for naval and air units would be nice28 Nov 2005 01:08 GMT4
While there is a handy way to direct all new land units to a rally
point, those naval and air units would just sit in the cities. And
rebase 20+ air units to a single location is not fun. Would be nice if
the next patch gives us a mean to set rally point for naval and air
Problem with workers in Civ 427 Nov 2005 07:00 GMT2
I installed the patch (maybe a coincidence) and now all my workers lounge
round my capital, all unwilling to do any work by me automating them (and
I'm not going to manually manage 20 fast workers). Anybody know what I have
done, and how I undo it?
Mounted units are upgrade deadend26 Nov 2005 02:22 GMT2
All mounted units eventually are upgraded to gunship. However, gunship
has the horrible handicap that it cannot get the benefit of
roads/railroads. So it becomes the slowest units in friendly territory.
While a gunship is the only units that can move 4 tiles (without
[Civ3] Can anyone remind me...24 Nov 2005 19:57 GMT10
...how a city's population of foreign nationals contribute to its chance of
defection?
Having destroyed the Egyptions between us, I'm now about to attack the
Celts.  The first of my targets are former Egyptian cities which will likely
Attn: Alex  10AD24 Nov 2005 19:29 GMT2
My first couple of galleys, however, are rushing defenders to
Eindhoven.  But hit return and...Oops, Eindhoven falls one turn before
they arrive.  Should have rushed a spear *in* Eindhoven while I had
the chance.  Nevermind, those defenders can become attackers at
