Has anyone come across this mode of crash before?  When my Civ is at a
reasonable size and into modern naval units, I have tried to direct one of
my ships to a point on the map that is off screen.  As the direction pointer
hits the dark area, wham!  It looks like an infinite loop is ...

Some unit have a second attack rating in parenthesis. In example, the
guerilla has a ADM of 6(6)/6/1.  What is the number in parenthesis ?

I really really do hate it when a newly defeated enemy city's citizens
decide to 'switch' back to the deposed country.  I've had this happen with a
dozen or more strong military units occupying, with no resisters...1 to 3
turns after capturing the city.  IN other words, it seems ...

Haven't played in a while, but beat @ Monarch a couple of times. One thing I
never figured out, though, is it possible to kick units out of an army
and/or upgrade the ones that are, wihtout disbanding the army?

Ever play this game and think I would like to have a certain type of Civ
available?  Sometimes I feel like being a militaristic aggressor and other
times I just want to build a scientific and cultural Civ.  It would be nice
if not all constests were decided with a heavy combative ...

Ok, here's one.  How is it I can upgrade my tiremes to transports, but not
my Galleons?
I know certain strategic resources have to be available to a given unit for
upgrade, but

I had always thought the AI went in to anarchy when I was beating on
them do to unhappiness of their people.   I just finished the Rise of
Rome where most of the governments had no war weariness.  Yet I still
saw civs going into anarchy while I was beating them down to

    Just to get some benefit from it,
does it have a self-play mode, to make
it act like a screensaver ?

Playing Civ3 on Regent, I find the Romans the most difficult civ to
handle.
They just produce military unit after military unit and keep throwing
them at you and they'll pillage everything they can if I don't block

   I've just started playing Civ3 after a long time on Civ2, and I've
noticed a couple of posts here that refer to different software versions of
Civ3.  I have version 1.07f.  Where can I find out what the bugs are in this
version so I can decide whether to download a patch?

I just finished this game and the last stretch was tough trying to get
the 20% of the territory.  I had around 80 cities when I finally
finished.   The last 5 or so I got by sneak attacking Persia.
