City Governors .. apparently gone mad?30 Nov 2003 18:23 GMT3
I turned these on (vanilla Civ3) with the idea they would control the
population attitude for me, and save me a job .. however they seem to
have decided to control all production, and want to churn out endless
supplies or Privateers and Jet Fighters, and =I can't figure out how ...
I have the plague30 Nov 2003 17:47 GMT8
I'm in the middle of Fall of Rome in C3C and have come down with a nasty
case of plague in several cities.  Having hospitals does not seem to make a
difference and my people are dying.  I have a skull in those cities and
buzzards circling overhead.  Civilopedia is no help other than ...
Newbie needs editing help30 Nov 2003 10:37 GMT3
I'm trying to create a scenario file for my wife to play. The map is
done and I've edited the rules, including adding a civilization for
her to play. When I try to load the .biq file, I get the message

Hey... Can I play DYP with C3C, or should I load PTW to play the
latest version of the Mod...

newbie c3c question29 Nov 2003 21:41 GMT1
I'm new to this group, just got civ3: c3c.  I'd played a lot of ptw,
dyp, enjoyed all that.
As I'd had DYP 1.50 installed when I installed C3c, I think, it seems
that:
Question about keyboard shortcut29 Nov 2003 02:01 GMT6
Does anyone happen to know the keyboard command for displaying the
terrain showing only natural resources, without cities or units
displayed?

Annoying restart problem28 Nov 2003 20:52 GMT2
I installed Conquests last weekend and it mostly runs fine. However,
when I quit out of a game, I can't run the program again without
restarting the computer. If I try to run Conquests, I get the first
screen of the samurai looking up, then it just goes away. Furthermore,
6.2.228 Nov 2003 17:41 GMT8
What do the numbers 6.2.2 represent on the little map on the right
bottom of the screen? It says: Rome - Democracy- (6.2.2)
Also, I think the game is flawed, I had a mutual protection pact
with the Chinesse, and when the French attacked me, weren't the
New resources (Sugar etc.)28 Nov 2003 05:57 GMT2
Any way to get them to work in a standard/random map game?
I found the won where you can enable plague in content.
Any free strategy guides? I can't win above warlord, and have a hard time at
that.
Movement at Sea28 Nov 2003 00:48 GMT10
Is it just me or is the only place where movement seems drastically off is ocean moves.  I'm mean there are scenarios where it will take 60 years to move across a screen.  Or for a better example in the WWII scenario it takes 4 or 5 months just to get to Hawaii which is a little ...
DYP Question27 Nov 2003 09:17 GMT2
Does anyone know what The Echelon Wonder is all about in Double your
Pleasure?
There is no explanation in the Civilopedia.

What does everyone think of Conquests?27 Nov 2003 00:29 GMT9
Is it worth getting? Does it hold up under repeated play?
Re:  Conquests Scenarios *not really a spoiler*26 Nov 2003 19:15 GMT1
When you reach the new science age with the big ?... does anything happen?
Do you get anything special?  I've hit the new age, but it doesn't appear to
be that way..
Thanks,
Age-Change Animation26 Nov 2003 19:15 GMT1
In C3C when I go to a new tech age in a scenario and the "town
evolving" animation plays I don't get any new, modern architecture. I
stay a village. Anybody else? And wasn't this a crash bug in the
original Civ3 that was fixed in the first patch?
Installation size after Conquests24 Nov 2003 22:07 GMT13
My Civ III folder is now sitting at 1.41 GB! Is this the same for most
people, and does anyone know if anything can be safely deleted to save some
space?
