Double Your Pleasure: Earth Map?22 Aug 2003 16:01 GMT5
I have PTW and have updated DYP with the graphics mods. After months
of playing only modified what-if scenarios with the Teturkhan
scenarios I'm ready for a DYP change. I started a game, and it seems
pretty neat, but I only play Civ3 on Earth maps.
Conquer the city21 Aug 2003 14:30 GMT1
I have played civ3 for long time, and every time when I try conquer an enemy
city early, I just don't get the city. It just disappear, leaving only my
unit in the place where the city should been. Does anybody know why this
happens, because none of my friends don't have this ...

When I try to build any part of the space shuttle none of my cities are
capable. Any ideas why?
PTW Patch Bug?18 Aug 2003 23:17 GMT1
When I wipe out a civ I get a "?" mark in the communications advisor
window.   In regular Civ III I used to get that for any civs I have
not met yet.  But in PTW it was removed and I just got empty spaces
where the unkown civs will eventually be.    I never saw the "?" for

Is there a way to make units 'tradable/giveable' in the civ editor? I think
smuggling arms would be a neat addition to add to the realism...

Newbie ideas11 Aug 2003 10:37 GMT7
I like to play diplomatic/cultural. I was just wondering, if I
am the only one using these ideas:
1) if another country has a colony - build a city and get the
horse or iron or whatever yourself
Culture victory - one city 20,000 points?11 Aug 2003 01:25 GMT1
To clarify, this isn't a one city challenge, I am just trying to get a
cultural win by getting my capital city to the 20000 mark. (Bored of space
race wins)
Regent level, Celts, Large land mass, continents, 6 other civs, was 7 but
LAN-game very slow?10 Aug 2003 14:48 GMT1
I've just started toying with LAN games (PTW v1.27f) on my home network.
We have the problem that the units, games, battles, etc. are responding
very slow to orders.
For example: when I give a unit an order to move 1 square I have to wait
Editing Rules10 Aug 2003 12:35 GMT5
I'm playing around with the Civ3 PTW editor and was wondering if it's at all
possible to create a set of rules and have them apply to "any" map/game
instead of having to randomly generate a landmass in the editor each time?
