Off-topic here, but fans of BG1 & 2 obviously have good taste. :-)
Anyone have it?  Worth getting?  It looks kind of good and I've seen a lot
of great reviews...

This battle is just awful.
As in completely beyond the pale and unfun.
I worked a good bit to be able to get past the first stage and felt
pretty good about my methods and tactics. Then the Slayer Jon is kind

Given how many detections and removals and defense spells there are, I
always get confused on what is best to cast first. Does anyone have
recommendations on a prefered order to cast these anti-spellcaster
spells, kind of like a universal toolbox approach?

So I'm working on playing through Baldur's Gate II / Throne of Bhaal
for the third time. The first time I just took whoever I came across as
an NPC at the time. The second time, I played with my own characters
(via 'create multiplayer') and gave up because it just got too easy
