A friend wants me to replace the guts of his system so he's got something that can do justice to Flight Sim X. Value for money is more important than the best possible performance, but to cope with FSX it mustn't be too near the budget end of the market.

Rather than letting FSX create a flight plan for me I want to understand some of the logic behind some of the choices it makes. I understand GPS, (just one line from airport A to B :)). But the others are a bit murky.

Okay, I now am running this edition of XP Service Pack 3 and all is well AND.....there is a bonus to SP3. It will allow XP 32bit see 3 gigs of memory. Edit 'boot.ini' and add "/3GB" (without quotes)

Last days I fly with a "gol" model of a 737, a nice one in fs9 Who knows another complete freeware 737 model (with vc) on the net. No overhead needed. pieter

While flying IFR, answer ATC calls all is well for a while....then suddenly I can't answer them (there are no numbered responses showing; so nothing to press) Eventually ATC says "IFR cancelled"......
