FlightAware...18 Jul 2008 00:01 GMT10
.... shows a SWA flight from KSTL to KOKC. Climbing at 9500 feet, airspeed
is 260 kts. Aren't they supposed to stay under 250 kts below 10,000 feet, or
is that just a 'suggestion'?

My New PC (in 5 years time)17 Jul 2008 17:44 GMT21
Have been testing my new PC with FSX and Call of Duty 4. Everything maxed
out and still getting fabulous performance.
But then I thought, in 5 years time it's probably going to be classed as a

It's airshow time again, and living just a couple of miles from
Fanborough, EGLF, I've had military jets flying over my house all day.
Others doubtless annoyed, but I love it!
Might go to the open-for-all at the weekend. Anyone else going?

Update Disks for FSX17 Jul 2008 13:44 GMT2
I just purchased Flight Simulator X and noticed that SP1 is available
for download.  However, I am stuck on dial-up and downloading a 200+ Meg
file is out of the question.
Does anyone know how I can get a disk of the updates?

What's up with these strange FSX benchmarks?17 Jul 2008 01:48 GMT2
The below benchmarks show an ATI 4850 beating a 4870 and an 8800GTUltra
beats a GTX280. These results are just bizarre and considering I just
installed a 4870 last Friday I will make sure not to buy FSX any time soon.

When I go to the "Add or Delete Programs" list on my Control Panel and try to
remove Flight Simulator 2004 from my computer, nothing happens. I am trying
to remove it because a previous uninstall failed and now the software won't
work on my computer, so I'm trying to uninstall it ...
