| Anti Aliasing Tip | 04 Jul 2008 03:18 GMT | 1 |
Ok, so's I was playing around last night, with some settings in the Nvidia control panel - really have no idea on what some of these settings do, so thought I would start experimenting and then running FSX just to have a look see. The explanations, in the Nvidia control panel, on ...

| Ping! Oskar re Fokker 100/70 | 03 Jul 2008 22:59 GMT | 2 |
Oskar, if my memory serves you have the Digital Aviation Fokker 100/70 as I have and I know that in RL you used to fly these things. So my question is what is a realistic sound level for the engines when in the cockpit? At present in FS9 I have the engine sounds at 50% which seems ...

| An Interesting Thing Happened To Me On The Way To Las Vegas | 03 Jul 2008 17:35 GMT | 1 |
Flying the Lear 45 from KSMO to KLAS, climbing to 19,000 feet. I get to 18,500 and click the STD button below the PFD to adjust the altimeter to 29.92. I get to my assigned altitude, level off and look at the steam gauge altimeter and it's not showing FL190. Instead, it's ...

| FSX vs. FS9 spot views | 03 Jul 2008 14:49 GMT | 3 |
I've noticed a significant difference between the spot views in FSX versus FS9. In FS9, the spot view maintains my aircraft centered on the screen, but the camera does not turn with the aircraft. The aircraft can essentially

| Some interesting thoughts | 03 Jul 2008 11:18 GMT | 7 |
Just thought we could do with a few wise sayings just to keep us on the right path! :-) 1. My husband and I divorced over religious differences. He thought he was God and I didn't.

| Only DAY-view | 03 Jul 2008 07:31 GMT | 1 |
My problem is that regardless of the time of day I choose day/dusk/night/dawn FSX ONLY shows the day view. I have reinstalled FSX/AccPac (repair), deleted the fsx.cfg and made FSX write a new one, disconnected the "use system time", "unactrivated" ALL

| FS History - The Video | 02 Jul 2008 22:28 GMT | 10 |
I just finished downloading and viewing a video of the history of SubLogic/Microsoft Flight Simulator, from the very first version 1 all the way up to FS2004. This is a fascinating video demonstrating where we were, and where we are now. It is a 280 meg download zipped file, and ...

| Flight patterns? | 02 Jul 2008 19:46 GMT | 26 |
I'm on my third non stop around the world flight at the moment, just to polish my knowledge of speed versus distance, and just for the heck of it. This time though I'm doing a new route, inspired from starring at my old globe :o)

| Question for RL pilots-Restricted Areas | 02 Jul 2008 14:00 GMT | 15 |
I was just cruising around in the San Diego area in a C-172. Got to thinking if in RL, could I fly around an aircraft carrier and look it over, or must I keep a certain distance. Do Carriers have an automatic restricted airspace around them?

| Is anyone watching Discovery Channel Dog Fights of the Future right now? | 02 Jul 2008 06:00 GMT | 4 |
Im watching this program and it's awesome. I have always liked the regular Dog Fight series that usually talks about Vietnam but this is better I would say just because they are using Raptors, and SU30's the Boeing 747 with the Laser on it etc..

| FSX owners...New England screen shots? | 01 Jul 2008 16:41 GMT | 3 |
I bought FS 2004, and was severely disappointed at how unrealistic th scenery in my neck of the woods is...the mighty Merrimack is a trickle and invisible in some areas, and overall the ground looks nothing lik what it should. Could someone here who has FSX post a link t
