Cold and dark won't save25 Apr 2008 14:24 GMT2
My default C172 is cold and dark, and that works OK with several other
planes.  However, it doesn't work with Dash 8.  I have also switched
everything off in Dash 8 and saved it cold and dark, but next time I select
it (either in same session of FS9 or a new one) it comes us warm ...
Huge Air Disaster in Northern Ireland!!!25 Apr 2008 11:54 GMT18
My little country of Northern Ireland usually doesn't have many
aviation 'incidents', but I had to laugh when this made it onto the
news.

Is AlacrityPC a worthwhile program?25 Apr 2008 07:56 GMT3
I would like to know if anyone here has experience - positive or
negative - with AlacrityPC. Does it provide perceivable benefits for
FSX or is it not worth the installation?

FSX Installation dilemma25 Apr 2008 04:04 GMT3
I'd like to run FSX on my laptop. I'll give my specs, and I'd like your
opinions whether it will run, and in addition I'd like advice (if it can run)
about how to install:
Specs: IBM ThinkPad T42p, Pentium M 745, 2.00GHz, 2GB RAM, ATI Mobility Fire

Memory upgrade ??24 Apr 2008 23:25 GMT21
I currently have 2x1GB of RAM in my FS9 PC (actually a Dell XPS M1730
laptop). I thought 2GBs was going to be enough but when flying PMDG
aircraft in particular I still get Out-of-Memory crashes.
Has anyone 'bitten the bullet' and bought 4GBs of RAM to try to
Best way to see Victoria Falls - P51 goofoff24 Apr 2008 22:38 GMT33
Forget flying to the airport 10 miles south and taking a bus to the
falls.  No way!  Hop in your P-51, make a mad dash out there and land
on the dirt road right next to the crosswalk and falls over look..
Gotta love flight simming!

AlacrityPC test resuilts24 Apr 2008 15:28 GMT5
Fellers and gals,
I have been able to stop an amazing number of services and programs
with this application with no negative effect and lots of positive
performance improvements  on FS9.  It also has a profile for Vista but
Matrox TripleHead3D2go24 Apr 2008 08:47 GMT5
I just connected the three DVI cables for my 22" monitors to the device and
my computer, installed the software and started up FS 2004. The view is like
a breath of fresh air. My 256 MB Nvidia Geforce 5200 AGP supports the 3840x
1024 required for the horizontal span but the ...
So any thoughts on what FS11 will bring?23 Apr 2008 23:03 GMT36
Assuming of course that there will be an FS11.
My thoughts are that scenery-wise, they've reached about as far as they can.
The utilisation of Google Earth to re-create ACCURATE scenery (ie. buildings
where they should be and trees removed where they shouldn't be etc.) would
Damn you Dudley!!!!!!23 Apr 2008 18:41 GMT32
On YOUR recommendation, I spent about $50 of my hard earned $$ on the Real
Air Spitfire package.
What am I now going to do with all the other planes I've downloaded? I've
fallen in love with this bird and I'm thinking of all the $$ you caused me
