| MD-83 panel mystery | 09 Apr 2008 03:48 GMT | 11 |
My default MD-83, I just discovered, has no VC. Looking at the MD-83 folder, there's no Panel folder there at all. Thinking it must have been accidentally deleted, I reinstalled FS9 on a different PC, planning to copy over the missing files - but the

| Myth - Faster CPU = Higher FPS | 09 Apr 2008 00:15 GMT | 70 |
As some of you know my system is quite high spec and whilst I have a Core 2 Duo E6850 compared to the new Quads I have always got a reasonable overclock on it. Stock speeds are 3000mhz with a 1333 FSB. I get excellent benchmarks on 3DMark05 of around 22000 marks,

If anyone happens to be in Germany in the next week, you can see the last ever Buran, the Russian space shuttle, heading up the Rhine on a barge to a museum. http://www.spiegel.de/international/germany/0,1518,545835,00.html

Been going in circles with FS9 and FSX. Finally decided to have FSX on my C drive and FS9 on my D drive. Amazing difference in performance on the D drive with FS9. Both drives appear identical in specifications and speeds but the C drive has more data

| Giving Credit Where It Is Due. | 08 Apr 2008 17:45 GMT | 4 |
Just a note to express a special thanks to a couple of folk. I'm sure many of you would have worked this out long ago. The Nimbus 2004 broomstick, in its original form (both visual model & aerodynamics) is entirely the work of Shigeru Tanaka.

| FS2004 with keyboard - how do I tell controls are centered | 08 Apr 2008 16:39 GMT | 5 |
Is there a way to tell what position the controls are in FS2004? I seem to recall in FS98 there was an indicator on the panel. I don't see one in FS2004. Fortunately, I bounce when I hit the ground.

| FS9 Special FX | 08 Apr 2008 11:52 GMT | 2 |
Does anyone know of some viewer software thats allows me to preview what an FX would look like before adding to an aircraft. I believe (though I'm not sure) that there is a previewer in FSX - none that I know of in FS9.

| Another cfg problem | 08 Apr 2008 08:52 GMT | 7 |
Using Notepad, I have edited my FS9.cfg file and saved it without any trouble (FS9/Vista). Now I am trying to edit the panel.cfg for the PSS Dash 8 (did it OK with FS9/XP on my previous computer). However, the edited file would not save.

| three screens - without TripleHead? | 07 Apr 2008 10:37 GMT | 33 |
As I just received my overkill machine :-) with video connectors "à discretion" (6) I wonder if there's a known (software) solution to stretch the FS picture across three screens without using a TripleHead adaptor. Actually I have never heard of it but before going for the ...

| Today's my anniversary | 07 Apr 2008 01:27 GMT | 13 |
Well, it was a year ago today around 5:00 PM. I wonder how many on here can remember what they were doing a year ago as vividly as I can (at least for today - April 3rd) I still have a slight limp and not quite the stamina I had over a year
