| Tinmouse flaps | 31 Jan 2008 20:56 GMT | 6 |
Slowly figuring out how to fly the Tinmouse 11 737-200. Anyone else fly it? Starting at 12000ft I can get enough things to operate for level flight etc but haven't managed a landing yet.

| Buying a new video card for FS9-FSX? Read this. | 31 Jan 2008 19:41 GMT | 5 |
I sent an e:mail to Phil Taylor asking if he could give us some direction as to what MS FS "likes" in a video card. He has posted a great article on his blog. http://blogs.msdn.com/ptaylor/archive/2008/01/29/gpu-variants-performance-envelo pes-and-being-an-informed-consumer.aspx

| X-Plane | 31 Jan 2008 09:52 GMT | 10 |
I am seriously considering X-Plane as an alternative to FSX, to run alongside my FS9 installation. What do MSFS people, who have installed X-Plane too, feel about the new v.9.00 beta? Any pros and cons? (I did read what I can find here

| FSX Scenery Anomoly | 30 Jan 2008 21:29 GMT | 25 |
I have found my very first FSX scenery elevation goof. I was flying the NASA F/A-18 Hornet around the Groom Lake Area 51 region, when I saw something very weird. It was a ring of needle-sharp peaks surrounding a hole in the ground that is over 32,000 feet deep! At the bottom of ...

| joint Post | 30 Jan 2008 19:06 GMT | 3 |
Martin and I are having a bit of fun on FSX together here in Winchester, so thought we would make a joint post - but we can't actually think of anything to say! It's always great for two nerds to meet in this way and share a glass of wine and a bit of cold ham! Martin says he has ...

| FS9 - Appallingly low FPS with good upgraded machine (what could it be ??) | 30 Jan 2008 16:31 GMT | 18 |
I recently upgraded some components of my machine and the *very* reason was so that I ended up with a better machine that could also run FS9 better. Having finally gotten all the components together into this machine,

Can anyone please tell me how to disable that annoying "sink rate...pull up" warning when you make the final approach? Don't worry, I'll leave it engaged in the real world!! Thanks!

| Tandem flight? | 30 Jan 2008 15:42 GMT | 13 |
Just took my Tomcat for a spin, and while lining up for final at Hobard YMHB, I spotted something odd. Being in the small and fast, I imediately went ahead to investigate, guess that's what fighters do, when they spot anormalitys in the air? :o/

| Ping JOHN WARD | 30 Jan 2008 11:35 GMT | 10 |
John, You told me you had used UltimateDefrag on your system didn't you? At first I put it down to coincidence on mine but after the third time I think that program is causing my system serious probems.

| Flying Backwards in FSX :( | 29 Jan 2008 22:12 GMT | 1 |
I screwed something up in FSX I'm afraid. Somehow I've configured something so that whenever I start my sim, I'm facing the back of the plane (all I see is the seat back). I can't face forwards no matter what I try (it only rotates the view clockwise or
