Crash Dynamics01 Sep 2006 00:09 GMT13
Does anyone know how to get a message to the Microsoft Developers? to see if
they would include some very Dynamic "CRASH" features within Flight Simulator
X?
I know that one needs to have a very powerful computer in order to
PPL or FSX31 Aug 2006 23:52 GMT6
My old system is creaking trying to run FS9. Been thinking of a new high end
PC, FSX plus all the new add-on software and hardware. Maybe even through
Vista in - as my new system would be able to handle it.

I've always wanted to know how to do it in the big iron (IRL). Seems you
touch down first before kicking it 'round. For that matter I want to know
how to do it in a cessna, IRL. Is it the same: wait until you touch down?
Pluto????31 Aug 2006 22:50 GMT10
Where were you when Pluto was kicked out of the Solar System?
Somehow I don't think this will rate up there with JFK.

Terrain Information31 Aug 2006 21:25 GMT1
I’m a retired pilot who does not have any experience with Flight
Simulator. A flying training organization I’m associated with wishes to
use digital terrain information to enhance their graphics and I would
like to assist them.  This information is available free of charge from
Most Realistic AI-Routes again churning out AI flight plans31 Aug 2006 20:24 GMT1
A month or so ago someone posted that MostRealisticAI.com website was back
up with a note from one of the site's authors saying to "stay tuned."
Well, last week MRAI began churning out flight plans again.
For those who are unaware, MRAI used to produce the most efficient and
FSX Demo - Flight Errors31 Aug 2006 19:26 GMT24
This is more of a comment then a question, while flying the demo in the
microlight I noticed that the 3D cockpit view model was wrong... Cant imagine
that MS would make such a mistake so wondered if others had noticed.
When you are in the external view you notice the little fellow ...

CNN discloses NTSB's 'special re-creation software'31 Aug 2006 16:07 GMT80
I mainly just lurk these days, but didn't see anything posted on this yet...
Earlier tonight, CNN and 'ol Blitzer from the "Situation Room" (what a
joke), had a little segment on flight 5191.

Mesh scenery - opinions?31 Aug 2006 15:12 GMT21
I've been DLing a number of mesh sceneries mainly from AVSIM and somehow
I'm less than impressed. Although jagged mountain scenery looks pretty
impressive, often the lowlying sceneries look less convincing, with
bumps and ridges that just don't look real, not to mention roads and ...
FS9 + Ultimate Terrain question31 Aug 2006 13:45 GMT2
Hi all,  I have Ultimate terrain installed.  When I turn on  Enhanced
Lighting and Residential lights I lose a bunch of my FS autogen.  This
makes for boring scenery except at night.  Is this normal? I have
autogen on max.  My only option appears to be to include the lighting

Two USB joysticks together: one as yoke, other to mimic pedals31 Aug 2006 12:30 GMT6
I've seen lots of home-made rudder pedal designs, including some that
were based on internals of an USB joystick. I like the idea very much,
and tried to connect two USB joysticks at the same time in hope that I
will be able to assign some axes to rudder and differential brakes.
