Here's one for the flight sim community31 Jan 2006 23:32 GMT5
I was watching the History Channel the other night and a program about
unusual aircraft was on.
The XF5U "Flying Flapjack" was one of the featured planes.  Slow
takeoff...40mph but could supposedly reach 400 mph.

Airport/ATC Problem31 Jan 2006 23:08 GMT2
I've installed an add-on scenery for an IFR airport.  I've checked out the
AF2 file and everything seems in order, including navaids and radio
frequencies.  The airport is in the "go to" function under World.  AI
aircraft (not default) are scheduled to utilize the airport.
problems with lessons in fs200431 Jan 2006 19:19 GMT2
Any help will be great.
When flying a lesson in fs2004, instructor's comments do not synch with
flight.
For example, Rod Machado will say that if you look out the side window you
FS2002 addons and FS931 Jan 2006 16:25 GMT5
After reading guy's post and replies about uninstalling FS 2002 and
installing FS 2004, I have a question:  will FS 2002 addons necessarily work
with FS 2004?  I had the impression that they may not, and certainly a
couple of my downloads have required me to specify whether 2002 ...

ATC voice commands31 Jan 2006 13:20 GMT4
I posted this earlier but admittedly very poorly. Does anyone know where
(folder) the ATC voice commands are stored, e.g. "turn left 050" or "decend
and maintain 3000" etc. Are they wav files? Are they buried in a DLL file?
I'm refering to FS9.
Huffer31 Jan 2006 08:36 GMT12
In the Mythbusters episode "Explosive Decompression", they used a "huffer"
to pressurize the inside of a DC-9.
The narrator, Robin Banks, said that huffers are sometimes used to start
the engines of jumbo jets.
737-800 Reverse trust31 Jan 2006 07:38 GMT3
I just bought the PMDG 737-800,
it is normal to not be able with the reverse trust
to roll back from a gate?
The PDMG can't, i just wonder if the real 737-800
Perfect Water 1.0 31 Jan 2006 05:53 GMT2
Has anyone installed Perfect Water 1.0?
http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004scen&DLID=79616
I'm downloading now, I guess I'll try it since various add-ons have hosed my
water.  (double entendre intended :-)
need help with FS2004 reinstall31 Jan 2006 05:25 GMT7
As I need space on my hard-disk I decided to de-install FS2002 using
the official desinstallation routine.
It happened exactly what I feared: Now I cann't start FS204 anymore. It
says something about terrain.cfg and scenery.cfg missing and that I
BEV Hard Winter31 Jan 2006 05:19 GMT22
I just made my maiden flight with Bird's Eye View Hard Winter, from
Boston to Albany, NY, with a stop in central Massachusetts.  I think it
is the best BEV season yet, with some spectacular winter scenery.
Highly recommended!
All gray plane on startup31 Jan 2006 05:18 GMT8
Hi all,  Sometimes when I start FS9 the plane will be all gray except
the N number will show.  The sound sometimes will also be off as in
the engine will play at low throttle , but no engine sound at full?  I
have tried to reload the program, but still the same.  If I shut down
Google Mapspotting31 Jan 2006 01:42 GMT5
The mapspotting trend continues to rise as thousands pour over the
detail of their Google Earth and Google Maps satellite images.
