Cannot load West Coast, USA Airports01 Oct 2005 00:50 GMT5
Help please Guys.
From "create a flight" screen if I select to start flight at an Airport in
California, Oregon, or Washington State upon hitting the "Fly Now button"
the progress bar freezes on "Terrain" and FS9 crashes. I presume I have some
FS9.0 Crashes with ATI Radeon X850 Pro30 Sep 2005 21:33 GMT18
FS 9.0 stops without warning 2-3 minutes into the game. Seems to be very
consistant. I have tried Cat 5.8 and 5.9 with same results. What am I doing
wrong? I have run the program OK with Radeon 9000 Pro previously.
Thanks, REL

Hey Bill... a gauge question or two30 Sep 2005 19:20 GMT7
I've been forced into some gauge tweaking of late and it's generated a
question or two:
1) All gauge .cab files indicate that the gauges are written in XML for that
aircraft, yes?

Microsoft Flight Simulator 200430 Sep 2005 10:34 GMT12
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004
Would anyone know why I cannot back up disc 4 of this Microsoft Flight
Simulator 2004.
I use it frequently and fear that I might damage my one and only copy.
Kai Tak approach30 Sep 2005 01:58 GMT2
In order to make the runway 13 instrument approach at Kai Tak airport (VHHX)
I just need to add ILS and marker beacons to the default scenery (planned to
used AFCAD). Where do I find coordinates etc. on these navaids? The official
approach chart doesn't help me.

Here you go Dallas. Listed for 12,500 but will sell for less.  In
Weatherford TX, practically your neighbor.

Near Misses on IFR Flights29 Sep 2005 17:52 GMT23
Fellers and Girls,
I'm cleared to land on 23L at Indianapolis and lo and behold, this plane
appears in view at my upper right and drifts across to my lower left.  We
are making a formation flight on final.  ATC did not say "BOO"!  Does this
Magnetic variation29 Sep 2005 10:59 GMT6
Does anyone know if magnetic variation is modeled in FS9?
The magnetic variation where I live is about 5 degrees west - but my nav
seems to be about the same difference out.
Thanks Gary
ILS Approaches.29 Sep 2005 02:24 GMT8
What are people general landing techniques?
I find that when I disengage the autopilot at about 500ft, the controls jerk
around and the a/c gets all untidy, and I end up crashing about 30 - 40% of
the time!

Oskar thanks, but after I did all that nothing chaged, still two
runways.
New Flight Sim28 Sep 2005 16:28 GMT16
Anyone know if there will be a new Flight Sim released in time for the
holidays (Flight Simulator 2006?)?  I didn't see anything on the MS website
but thought that there may be a MS rep monitoring this board.  Looking to
buy it as a gift and I would rather not purchase FS 2004 ...
Hey Bill Leaming...  question28 Sep 2005 15:30 GMT43
I recall you writing about your encounter with the MSFS people at
AirVenture. You said for FS10 they are shifting the processing load over to
the "awesome power" of the graphics card.
I wonder if you would give us a bit more perspective on this.  For instance:
