I am thinking of dedicating an extra pc to FS9 multiplayer simming over the internet. In order to get best performance, I am thinking of NOT installing a firewall or antivirus program, unlike my current pc. Would I even notice the difference in performance and would it be worth the ...

| Man-o-man | 01 Apr 2005 00:01 GMT | 2 |
I'm going to bed. Have been having problems with FS9, memory full problems again. Thought I had it fixed. Did a virus scan, two Ad Aware and spy-bot checks, CHKDISK, deleted fs9.cfg and built on a fresh cfg file and nothing is helping.

I'm am trying to modify FS2004 aircraft textures using Adobe Elements 3.0. The textures that I'm working with are not compressed, so they load easily into Elements without any conversion first. After loading the texture files into Elements, I convert them to RGB Color, and ...

| North American AT-6F Texan | 31 Mar 2005 21:58 GMT | 7 |
I seem to be lucky this Easter in downloading super WW2 Warbird types. This time I must tell you guys about the Texan/Harvard/Wirraway (depending on where you live) that Cliff Presley has made. It is photorealistic and as an advanced trainer, does fly as you should expect it to. ...

| Sidestepping Runways | 31 Mar 2005 18:51 GMT | 3 |
When flying the glideslope in a B737-400 or any of the airliners, at what altitude and distance from the runway do you begin a 'sidestep' if so instructed and what is the best way to do it? Do you disengage the autopilot and fly it down manually or what? Whew, so much to learn, ...

| ILS landing problems (continued) | 31 Mar 2005 16:36 GMT | 1 |
After struggling to find a way to get my plane to auto-land, and I'm testing it at Luton [EGGW], I've sussed out ILS frequency for runway 26 which is 109.15 and tune this into NAV1. So far so good. Strange thing is, the morse code identifier is ILJ but the morse code I'm actually ...

| Where did those streetlights come from? | 31 Mar 2005 16:18 GMT | 3 |
Can anyone explain why I would have highway streetlights in the middle of a runway? Makes taking off and landing a bid difficult, although on some more nimble props I can just slalom past... This is at Belp, the airport in Bern, Switzerland, and only occurs with

Have used text editor macros to format the Scenery.cfg file into a form that Excel SS can open (TXT file).. and then using the SS `sort function'.. rearranged the entire block. Also straightened out columns (the order of each line entry) so that they're all uniform.. i.e.
