Amazing what a video card change can do - swapping my ATI Radeon 9700 for a
9800 (both AGP, 128Mb) has given me an extra 10fps with the same settings.
FS2004 now a gorgeous 30fps and loving it!

I saw a Russian jet come into LAX.  I forgetthe name.  This thing was
HUGE!  It soared so slowly I thought it may stall.  I was on
Manchester Ave and it made a shadow Ive never seen before.

What could be causing Trainsim to crash?31 Jan 2005 21:07 GMT4
My friend keeps having trouble with Train Simulator. He's got a 2nd hard
drive (120GB) with nothing but Trainsim on it at ATM and he keeps
running into trouble with the game crashing once he's filled it to about
10GB with add-ons. I think it usually crashes when trying to load up a
FS2004- Brakes31 Jan 2005 19:39 GMT6
I am using CH Pro Pedals and Yoke with FS2004. I have calibrated
both yoke and pedals. When I start a simulation I am instructed to
press . to disengage parking brakes. If I then touch either pedal
brake 'differential braking' displays. If I then release, 'brakes' is

to find.

smoothness fix that worked for me (latency)31 Jan 2005 18:04 GMT45
Short version: for a smoother sim experience, throttle down the
latency setting on your video card.
Most people will have seen this if they check Flightsim.com or
Avsim.com. Here's where I learned about it:

PCI latency - Much ado about nothing?31 Jan 2005 17:37 GMT15
I set up a test last night:
-Frame rate hungry airport
-No weather
-Set aircraft on a taxiway
IRL: Cockpit view?31 Jan 2005 16:18 GMT4
Strangely I can't see much out of the front screen of a B777. i.e. the viewing area seems rather small.  Is this how it is in real life? Is the seat by default lower than it really should be during landing?

So, I've got this great new DSL service 1.5/768 with a couple static IP

I was watching the Australian Open and you all know how it is,

So I wanted to ask someone down under. Is Fosters REALLY the word for
beer down there????

There is a new freeware program now being offered on AVSIM.com by Gunnar
Dähling which seems to have most of the characteristics of Active Camera.
The file is

Can't hold Elevator trim-31 Jan 2005 11:45 GMT2
Hi-  FS 2004-  Having trouble holding Elevator trim - 3rd party aircraft
seem far more difficult to hold than default craft.
I've turned down elevator sensitivity; This had no effect.  Would anyone
have a solution?

after sending and the multiplayer chat window
would disappear. Can anyone tell me if this is
