I have been flying FS2002 for a couple of years and would like to upgrade to
the FS9 version, however my computer was not powerful enough to justify the
FS Installation 30 Nov 2004 23:40 GMT6
First, thank you for all the assistance this group has provided me over the
last year.
Now for my question.  When I first installed FS2004 I was forced by the
program to install it on my "C" drive.  Since I am running out of free space

Best hardware upgrade for FS200430 Nov 2004 22:06 GMT2
I think about spending some money on upgrades for better simming experience.
I have FS2004 and use MS Sidewinder joystick. What would be the best one
thing to upgrade?
1. Get rudder pedals. Is it any good or just waste of money?
Is 100% CPU usage normal?30 Nov 2004 21:39 GMT20
When I start FS2004, the CPU usage goes to 100% and stays there the
whole time FS is running, even if it's sitting at a preference screen.
I have an Athlon 64 3200+ and a GB of ram.  The video card is nVidia

Pilot for a Day30 Nov 2004 21:32 GMT30
My son and daughter gave me a Pilot for a Day gift voucher for my birthday.
This Sunday I am scheduled to go for a spin (perhaps my choice of words
could have been better) in a Cessna 152.
Takeoff is from Archerfield, a small airport where many local fllight
FS9 just keeps amazing me!30 Nov 2004 21:24 GMT15
We've all seen rotating ILS beacons at airports, and I've had to
rub my eyes twice to make sure I was actually seeing a windsock
reacting to wind....like a real one does.
But today, as I approached CYKL (Schefferville, Quebec), I was

My friend just bought a Compaq 7550, the same monitor I own. In a game we
both play (FlightSim2004) I am able to choose from 6 options w/a resolution
of 1600x but she can only select 1600x1200x16 or 32. I can select the x900
and x1024 (16&32bit) but she cannot. Her Compaq driver is ...

I have 100% traffic selected...30 Nov 2004 17:36 GMT4
I don't see a lot of planes at the gates at most airports.  Would I have
to buy an add-on to get more?  Is there a relatively simple way to have
REAL airlines logos on the planes in FS2004?
Do I need to fly out of specific airports to see a lot of parked and

Thanks - Louis

Pilot for a Day30 Nov 2004 16:21 GMT1
After having my Pilot for a Day flight cancelled due to heavy rain several
weeks ago, I finally got airborne in a Cessna 152 last Sunday.
I was accompanied by a young and very capable female flight instructor, who
has just completed her Bachelor of Applied Science(Aviation).  As ...

How to Open Doors FS9?30 Nov 2004 07:43 GMT11
I forgot the keyboard command to open the doors on the airplanes. Can't
find it in the FS9 help section. Anyone know how to do it?
