We are trying to connect our computers via the internet using our IP
addresses.
One computer is a stand alone, and the other is networked with another
computer that uses the same IP address.

I set my video setting too high, now the game runs with a black screen,
sometimes the arrow cursor shows up.  I need to reset the video to a lower
resolution, but I cannot see the screen to change the setting!
There is no tech support article for this issue.

On an adminstrative account I installed AOE2 on the home machine.
Unfortunatly my kids cannot play unless they are on an adminstrative
account. For obvious reasons, I don't want to do that.
Is there a work-around for this problem?

Hi, I read a similar thread about this problem, and the reply stated that the
system may not meet the requirements.  This same problem has happened to me.  
The game will successfully install, yet when I press play on the menu, it
processes for a few seconds and then stops.  ...

AoE III is completely installed, but does not start at all.
Nothing comes up but the sandclock for a second or two.
Any suggestions anybody?

With my new router i can play aoe II games only as host.
If I participate at games without beeing host after launch the screen
"please wait appears" but nothing more.
Has it do to with the firewall inside the router (zyxel Prestige 660HW)?
