I have just about the same problem that Mike Oxore had but i am running
windows 98 2e. I can get to the game rooms and all is fine. After entering a
game room all other connectivity ceases. I can chat and read in the room but
when i try to play a game my program (AOE Conquerors) ...

Every time I try to start AOE2 I get the message “AOE2 has encountered a
problem and needs to close. I uninstalled the game a while back and have just

I have all the ORIGINAL CDs of the Age of Empires and Age of Mythology
series, but because of the excesive use they are getting scratched.
How can I play the game without using the CD since I have the ORIGINAL
discs?

I bought in Italy The box "Age of Empires Collecotr's
Edition, baut the language of the 4 CD's is only English.
Where may I find the files with the italian language?

I have an HP tablet PC and a Gateway Laptop that have the same issue. The
wierd thing is the regular (non-expansion) game works fine...
I have tried new sound and video drivers. I even tried the latest directX.
Please help!
